YAY, my first upload to Newgrounds - my version of the famous Snake game you find on mobile phones and stuff.

Use the mouse to control the head of the snake, and collect food samples. Avoid the floating blocks and make sure you don't collide with yourself! If you stop moving, your body will keep going, causing a collision with the head, so watch out! If you last the whole two minutes you will recieve a x1.5 bonus on top of your score.

I only figured out how to embed fonts right at the end, so I had to go back and change every text box, so please tell me if there's anything wrong with the text.

UPDATE 02/02/09: Fixed a bug with the highscores that made your highscore 9 billion and something if you passed the two minutes.

UPDATE 03/02/09: Added 5 highscores in the menu instead of 3.

"Very Nice"

I like this game, very addictive, but the beginning needs a improvement. I started and already died. WTF?! Anyway I think you should da a v2 of this, more levels, obstacles, physics etc.

Thanks, glad you liked it. But you're meant to move at the beginning straight away, otherwise your body will collide with you. I will do a v2 soon, with more levels and stuff, thanks for the advice!

"Cool game, simple and highly addictive"

Top whack for me. Gonna take some beating. Found out if you finish the whole two minutes you get a bonus. Would be nice to know that!!! More levels please. I love simple games. Nice Going! Keep up the good work!

When I saw this game, I thought "Another Snake game... Lets vote 0... But I should try it first". Then I tried it, and realized it's actually very good, not a normal snake game. Thank you for making this, it brightened up my day... Night actually, but W / E

"Deep and great concept"

Here is a nice upgrade from the old n grey Snake
I liked the music and the graphics, they did fit each other just like a glove
But I think you should make more than 1 level, like after the first 60 seconds you increase the difficulty or change the level design, adding barriers, who knows!
