You can't remember the last time you left your room. When you receive a barcode reader in the mail, you discover that the world around you is not what it seems, and must escape the bars of black and white.

"Bars of Black and White" is a game in the room-escape tradition with hand-drawn line art graphics and novel barcode-scanning action. Is the world insane, or is it you?

Good game

I originally gave this a 1 and then replayed it after reading some reviews and changed my mind. Good concept, but not the best I have played. Complete the computer game to get your scanner. Thats the trick to it. Hope there is a sequel.

Enthralling

This was a very cool game. I liked that the puzzles weren't too complex, and all the item usage actually made sense (unlike most point-n-clicks. I liked the twist ending as well, and that it turned out that the entire prison was in your own mind, and I also like that you wrote all those things to yourself, even though it was never expressly stated.

Not a bad game

Got really frustrating at the beginning, although I figured it out on my own, amazingly good concept, although, you should have made it much much deeper, and brought the game to further lengths, this has amazing potential.

OMG I HAD A GOOD IDEA

if there ever is a sequel, stick with the bad graphics, maybe a bit better, but make it a more timer based thing, like traps set, and make it longer, and make it about him/her escaping from the hospital/asylum, and give it more items, possibly some that can break, or are used more than once, and more complex puzzles, harder to follow barcodes etc., i love this game and would like to chat with the maker... so YAY!!!!!
