Hey there Newgrounders, this is just a little thing that I've noticed with Flash over the years.

When Flash renders text, it has to locate the font style, and then choose a suitable font size, and then it renders the text using some cah-raaazy "text-rendering" thing.

But when Flash renders vectors, it simple finds the vector points and curves, lines etc. and fills the pixels in however it needs.

I have seen, in even some really big, nice animations, the flaw that comes with scaling text _as text_.

This tutorial is a small tip for any Flash user who also notices the wobble that comes with using tweens to scale their text.

Enjoy!

Good for noobies :O

Very nice explaination! This will help those noobs make smoother flashes. As for people who wana see flashes, this is kinda boring. :) still nice work.

Thanks.
For those who want to watch a nice animation with some humor and such, or play a real game, I hope they see the "Tutorial" label over there on the left...

Thanks for the review.

:P.....

Was kinda pointless, but the kinda thing I would never have figured out on my own!!!!

Thanks a lot :D

Thanks, I'm the deeply observant type, myself. Things like music beats and, well, juttering Flash movement are the kinds of things I pick up on, and learn to get around.

Thank you!!!

I've known this forever, but I'm glad that somebody decided to post this. I've seen too many movies ruined because of that. Thank you.

The most prominent one in my mind would be "Sometimes, y"
It wasn't ruined by it, by any means, but it was odd...

Thanks for the thanks.
