Hello Newgrounds, for the last 2 and a half months or so in my class at school, my friend Alvin and I have been working on a 3-D animation project. We had many different idea's and looks on what we should do, and the final result is this. Both myself and Alvin share the work, both on character animation, effects, and menu's. Also a final note this project is both our first full 5mins movie in animation, let alone our second animation in 2 years. Enjoy, and p.s. sorry for the long load.
Okay, first off it was really really really really really really really really slow. Doing that just to draw it out to a certain time limit just makes it a complete chore to watch. Even the menu selections were slow. Anyways, in terms of character designs, I didn't like the way one of the characters eyes looked, with the flat polygons in front of their face like that, otherwise they were pretty good. The animation was interesting enough, but the slow rate it went at kind of ruined it. But I have to say the walking animation that you used when they got up from the radio and into the fight really stood out and suited the style, even at the slow rate they were going at. I'll give 6 out of 10. Make it faster next time.

Firstly, I would like to say a great effort for your work, I know how hard it is to animate in 3, which program did you use btw?
Flash with papervision 3D or something more like blender or maya ect..
What need improving: Firstly as its been said it very slow its like watch the whole thing in slow motion. Second the quality its very pixelated. Lastly the eyes on your main characters was off putting they did not suit the style.
Personally I think you should make the changes and then re upload you will find your score reaches what it truely deserves. Its not bad as for pacmanic yout review is the most useless heap of junk really.
Pretty much just adding to what Medeyer.

The animation and special effects were pretty good, but it could use some more and better sound effects. Also you need to better indicate when damage is being dealt, maybe have some numbers pop out or show bigger reactions.
The problem with most reviewers is they have not had a great deal of background either animating or in 3D animating. I can tell this was no simple animated piece. The fact your characters are not blocks and are somewhat human and your aliens look great. I love the space ship.
On the animation note, the movie seems to lack information to really pull your viewer towards the animation. The story appear almost vacant because if I was visited by aliens and they did not attack me initially, I find it odd that your characters first reaction was to fight them. It seems this was just a staged RPG fight. Not that you did not do a great job mimicking the video game. The story behind it is missing.
I know you guys worked hard so keep up the great work. Is this Blender or Swift 3D?

The animation work is great, maybe a bit slow, lack of story, and the eyes could be better...waiting for the char to choose spell took a little to long time,
BUT THE 3D WORK/STYLE WAS GREAT, so was the animation =)
It's rather slow and I found myself simply waiting for it to end. The eyes of the characters kinda freaked me out and the story behind all of it could use a serious overhaul. This must have taken a lot of work and it's not bad, just severely lacking.
I concur with most everybody else. The animation was pretty good but far from perfect, and I realize that it may have taken some time. But I have seen people do some incredible work with the same level of animation and with the same video length. The 3D film short "Kiwi!" comes to mind. I recommend storyboarding before you start a project like this.
it was a bit slow but nothing that bad,the character were simple,maybe they needed more work,but weel,it good overall(i gotta ask,wath sofware did u use to make this)

That was a pretty good video. I think it would be even cooler if that was an actual game. 8/10
I found your work extrememly entertaining. The background, the shading the visual effects, outstanding. Your hard work is very evident. The music, perfect for what you were going for. I thought the graphics were great, but the scenes were kinda slow =D
