COREY STUCK IN PURGATORY EPISODE VIII :
an enigmatic encounter with the hermit.

Corey and Virgil need to get across the river Styx. Unfortunatly, the river is shrouded in darkness, and Phlegyas the ferryman refuses to transport them without a lightsource. And since plutus has stolen the lightbulb from Phlegyas's lighthouse, Corey and Virgil descend into plutus's cave to retrieve it.

Meanwhile, Saint Peter is still being chased by the vestibule's wasps. Can he possibly escape them?

excellent

I just wanted to say that this has been one of the better/best animation submissions I've seen on NG for a while. Most of the stuff that makes front page now is crap. You have good technical animation skill, understanding of movie making, and digital art skills. I applaud you for those--the angles, distortions, frame of reference, lighting, art, and character depictions were great.

I thought audio was the weakest part of your animation though. I read in your author comment that your normal voice actors have left for a while, so the voice quality is understandable. Please don't let the negative reviews here get you down and keep making these! (I have a hunch they are mainly 13 year olds who aren't appreciative or understanding of why anyone would appreciate talent, art, skill, originality...) I'm going to watch your other submissions now.

If you don't mind me asking, what are your inspirations for this kind of animation? How much time do you spend on animation and how big of a part would you say it plays in your life? Anyway, great animation--I look forward to enjoying more of your submissions. :)

currently my favorite series

Angry dog is done, but even then I may still of liked this one more! Why? It's really fresh. You are an inspiration to artists of this site because you continously pump out some high quality material. I am also extremely fascinated with the duality of heaven and hell. I think it's funny that hell could be bad, just because you would only be left with other sinners. That alone would be terrible! If you only loved wealth, and it was always being stolen from you from other thieves it would drive you mad. A serious taste of your own medicine. I think it's peculiar that corey is being taken deeper into hell, which should make for a serious finale. Keep making these flash movies because they are awesome! :D

that 10 out of 10 is not just for this one episode, but for the series. im reading dante's inferno currently and you gave the divine comedy a very pleasant comedic change. silly, clean animation, just awesome
