Hey there! This is possibly the first of a three part semi-serious series depicting the story of DooM.

This was my first ever flash movie and im pretty proud of it.

Please recommend for doom collection

Once the marines land on Phobos to investigate, one is left to guard the perimeter, he soon finds out that he is the only survivor... and must fight to get out...
(This may only make sense if you've played the game)

Special thanks to:

And whoever else i got my textures from :]

I'd watch the next one

I thought this was fine and I think others have been either overly harsh to this flash, or have hearted it too much.

You truly made maximal effort to keep it retro and true to the game. This I liked. I really liked.

It was also funny. This is also good.

The sprite animation was for the most part fine, with a few awkward bits. No matter - but try to make some of the movements a bit slicker next time

I will watch your next doom flash

Animation and artwork needs alot of improvement, but i'm a sucker for Doom movies so you get a 5, I actually started a Doom movie a while ago but never really got into it.

Needs work, but that's where most start.

This thing needs a lot of work, but that's to be expected considering it's a first work. So keeping that in mind, here's a few suggestions that might help in the future.

Sprite movies can be good. That said, if you're going to go sprite, you should go all the way. Mixing sprites with hand-drawn stuff usually doesn't work as well as going completely with one style or the other.

Which leads to another point which, to be point blank, is that your hand-drawn artwork needs a 'lot' of work. Flash is a very visual medium, and without good artistic ability, you're going to find it very hard to really become successful with it. Practice, practice, practice.

Lastly, and probably the single hardest thing for you to handle on your own, is the sound. You tried to keep the spirit of the game alive by using the original sounds, and that's commendable, but honestly they're quite dated in this day and age. The passable. It's far from being great, but really there's only so much you can do with a crew of one guy. Maybe invest in a better mic?

You say you're proud of the work, and you should be if only because Flash can be very daunting to learn. So take that pride, and use it as a driving force to get better.

your score was low but you spoke the truth and ive taken all this into consideration. The mic is fine, i just had to compress it with lower quality as it was like 12mb before i did that.
Thanks again

I had a great story line. Nice use of D00M Sprites. And the last scene was just like the actual game. The only thing the DOOM guys voices kinda needed a little bit more work. But brilliant movie I love D00M movies make more
