I had A LOT of junk when I went folder diving.

These particular bits brought back memories from my trial software of a 3D app. With the help of NG ads I would hope to purchase it sometime to advance my evil ways.

With luck this may inspire some to pick up a trial flash and create something awesome

Fun Fact:
(Everything that's not commentary is 100% recycled from 2007 or earlier)

awesome 3d effort

All your comps look really spiffy, but it seems like it's unfinished :)
It would have been cool if you had woven some sort of goofy storyline or dialogue into this, but I realize that's not the point. I like the idea of mashing all your unused clips into a story. If you had titled this "Osprey n' Serenity" you'd be on the front page right now.

maficmelody responds:

If I had titled this "Osprey n' Serenity" I would have attracted the wrong audiences and had thoroughly disappointed them. Besides, if this did made front page with those REAL animations, mer gerd, bad things would have went down.

Narration is a good idea but the clips are few and short with too much to explain. I would probably sound in love with myself incidentally as well, talking about my amateur animation this this and this. No one cares. We want results.

Thanks for your word.

Three d efx!

You pass this off as a fake teaser tralier and call it a a prop and animation collection.
This will cause confusion to the more mentally challaged not that I know anyone like that ho ho! Something always tells me if you make something of something you use in the thing you were going to post, it becomes more liked than the oringinal. And if you can't understand me you don't have the skills of a proper author!

maficmelody responds:

This isn't really a teaser trailer of any sort, in fact, they're simple artifacts from the days of my 3D binge. A showcase of short projects on my development. If you're referring to the Firefly test specifically: it was supposed to be an introduction to a comic series that I realized as I was making it I should put my efforts into an original creation. The intro that followed was that creation, only my 3D app expired and I saw the fallacy of my ways. (gave me more time to develop a better story anyway)

And I know what you mean about people falling in love with 'previews' and disappointed as all hell with the results. I've seen it, kinda sad.

Thanks for your review/crit and your controversial score

hmmm

nice 3d rendering, but altogether pointless, I can give you a six though, because your 3d really is quite good

"Pointless" I'll have to partially agree. I would like to add this is kind of showing the props and rigs behind those animations- A "behind the scenes" for those interested in 3D animation or wondering how a scene could have been built.

Thanks for your review, always appreciated.

Tanks.

I've always thought about doing something similar and releasing a bunch of unfinished flash. Your designs are amazing and I like the play screen. Nice.

maficmelody responds:

Apparently the idea is not being well received :P

I appreciate your response, thanks.
