Hi everyone. This is my first-ever completed film, made for Newgrounds' Christmas 2008 collection.
It is about a young boy who dreams of journeying in Santa's sleigh on Christmas Eve.
This might be a little soft-toned for Newgrounds, but I hope that some of you will appreciate it anyway. It took me about a year of intermittent work.
Some of the scenes are quite dark, so it is best viewed in dim or no light. Oh, and you probably need a fast computer for it to play smoothly...
Ignore the blamers.
It's not suited for newgrounds but nonetheless it's good, better then some of the stuff there guys like >_>
I really enjoyed this flash, but to all the people who say that Santa looked black, that probably wasn't his hand people, that was his glove I bet
It was his hand, but I might've made it too dark. Just imagine that there's a lot of shadow falling on it.
Very Film Board Of Canada looking!
I liked it but the look was the strong point. The animation could use work as could the sound and story, but good to finally see an anim from you my friend!
Thanks for the review, though some more specific pointers about what you thought needed work would've been nice. "Animation", "sound", "story" are pretty vague words.
(oh, and you can rate it lower than 10... I won't mind)
You just don't see much work done in pastels these days. Wonderful change of pace, and good-quality, too.
It just looks like pastels; it was painted in ArtRage really. I described the technique over in this link: http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums/
this is one of the only serious shorts on newgrounds congratulations.
How will Kratos survive the Night?
A story about a kid and idk...
A short muisc video based on the classic song "The Window Cleaner" sung by George Formby
