This is not a demo, its an actual game. with a large amount of enemies to slaughter.
Use your demonic mac 10s, or your UHC 870 shot gun to punish the demons from affar
or your swords to hack em to pieces.
Default controls are;
A = evasive action
S = longrange action
D = Closerange action
Up = direct action in a upward motion
Down = Power action
F = Tranform into Devil or back into human
Q = taunt
Z = switch guns
X = switch swords
CTRL = pause menu
Great I say
Ok the game is DMC (duh) but its not bad, the game has huge room for improvement but everything works as it is. Even the style system, its just ppl who complain about it arn't as creative as I am (hint: if you've played DMC3 you should know what I'm saying, you get high combos for useing all of your moves with all of your weapons, so just go crazy shooting every 2sec and swing any weapon no longer then 5)
I know this rating wont be popular because the game was designed in a popular style, but i really didn't like this.
The animation was choppy, and looked pretty haphazard. There were multiple levels of entry screens I needed to click through before I got to the actual fight and that didn't seem necessary. Moreover, if i died, i needed to wait for the slow grade evaluation to finish.
I don't get what the "Style Points" business is, but when there aren't any combos or... style to your "actions", it seems a strange thing to be judged. When you use the melee attack, you're forced to trot across the screen. When you use the evasive action you can't control where you end up well. I'd rather have a jump button and an attack button I can chain into combos than being forced into them. Then the ranged attack was the complete opposite of the first two maneuvers, which would end up gettng me killed. I could litterally stand on one side of the screen and tap D as fast as I could, and nothing would even get near me.
I think if more attention was paid to how the game works than how it looks, it would be much better.
You've got some good ideas in this game. It's highly derivative, though (*cough*devilmaycry*cough*), and some elements of it don't work at all. For example, the stylish points bar. DMC had ranking such as "DEADLY!" "CARNAGE!" BRUTAL!" while this game..."Dull". That's the only ranking I've managed to get, because I can't extend a combo at all. Switching swords doesn't do much. Using guns doesn't work because the character doesn't aim at whoever he's supposed to be aiming at. This causes the game to fail at one of the things DMC is known for: Making the player feel powerful.
However, I must praise you for the awesome-looking HUD, even if it's a bit ripped from DMC. The character art is nice too, though could use some animation/pose work. Overall, this succeeds as a flash, but fails as a game.

Just a quick heads up to anyone about to mark this as a rip off or those who've already done so...Dizimz has tagged this as his own TRIBUTE for Devil May Cry so please lay off.
Review: I've been a fan of Fear Unlimited for a long time now and I feel you've taken a slight step back with this release...But in a good way. It brings back the simplicity and feel of the first game back into perspective. It almost cushions the semi-fail of Fear Unlimited 2 (prelude to one) since...honestly that game was soooo bug ridden and difficult to manage. I'm not saying this is the perfect Fear Unlimited I was looking for but it obviously is super better then both games. The movements are more fluid and well rounded, Sprite designs are getting super better and it's nice to see a good tribute nowadays.
Because I doubt you've heard this JUST enough.
