A school project that I had to make as an intro to a seminar on war crimes, dealing mainly with the Nuremberg Trials.

Sorry about the scrolling pictures intro, it's probably not very interesting, but afterwards there is actual animation. After the plane fades out, there is a 5 second or so black pause, the movie isn't over, so keep watching.

Audio is Autumn Shade II by The Vines. Go and buy their albums, they're amazing.

Thanks for watching; hope you enjoyed it. (PS, sorry about the drop in quality around the half-way mark. After working on it for about 6 hours straight one day, I was kind of tired of the amount of detail I was putting into it)

Great!!!

Many of my ancestors were Servicemen, and I belive this is a good tribute.
Aside from animation error (I wasnt sure because it looked like the guy running and the rifle was independent and didnt look like he held it at all), it was absolutely great.

Using Shilloete technique in war really makes it dramatic. You did an outstanding job.

The physics of the bullet firing, the rifleman taking shots, great job!

The "headshot" or whatever, coulda made that a little better dude. It was just blood, no physics.

The quotes were great quotes, but you have them up there for too long. Assume a user reading average of 300 WPM and transition there (instead of hella long rofl) and it will be much smoother.

Well, outstanding! High Fife!
Keep animating, keep it up, keep practicing. I belive you have "The Right Idea", and a lot of potential.

Thank you very much!

And just in response to a few of your criticisms, the soldier is holding the gun with one hand around the middle of the rifle, but it's kind of hard to see, since it's in silhouette.

The headshot was just supposed to be a transition between two different scenes, and I thought instead of a fade out/in combo, a blood wipe would work well. (Note, in case you meant the second part with the man on his knees, I don't know what you mean by physics :P)

I agree with you about the text, it's just that I had already read it once, so I figured that I may have been able to read it faster because I already knew the gist of the quote.

THanks again, I really appreciate the feedback!

Very effective

Good animation and a good message. The quote from Anne Frank was especially effective. Now to wait for people to say that the first part glorifies the Nazis, you know someone will say that.

Deeply artistic.

An incredible audio track, playing to very good visuals, and an artistic vision to boot, make this a top-notch flash. Nice.
