This is a school project I've been working on sporadically for two weeks now. It's an exploration of both the idea of mapping chronology in a somewhat nonlinear way as well as the idea that technological and cultural advancement aren't always the same; pressing the button every time it comes up will lock you into a cycle that repeats some of the "worst" stages of the little planet's history.

I'll let the rest speak for itself. Enjoy!

NOTE: I KNOW IT HAS NO SOUND. If I had the extra week I'd hoped for rather than a frenzied day of work at the last minute, I would have made some. I may still do so in the next month or two. There's no need to mention this in your reviews.

EDIT: Hey, daily third! That makes this my first award-winning piece on Newgrounds! Thanks a lot to everyone who's taken the time to play with the Machine, and especially those of you who have voted and written reviews!

Submitting a school project to NewGrounds is always risky. The NewGrounds audience expects more than any teacher. Gameplay is too short and too repetitive. This flash also needs sound effects.

Nice

Well this is a nice game I thaught it could have gone a bit longer it was and some sound would really be nice but you have something pretty decent here it was still notbad of a game. I would keep working on it

~~THINGS TO IMPROVE ON~~
Ad some sound and make longer

~X~

It's alright, it's very repetitive. Get's boring after a while.

so bad the same thing happens over and over

If you are still up for working on this, here are my suggestions:
1. Put something between the temple and the castle that resembles a Roman period.
2. Put something between the castle and the factory, that would resemble the Rennaisance.
3. Sound of course would be great.
4. Maybe you could put a way to get to two endings from a choice to go backwards in the earlier game to make a total of four endings.

Other than that, I thought it was a great idea, kinda realistic, and great!
