Hey guys, it's been good two months since I released seventh part of the series. As promised, it took less than another 16 months =) This episode is also more spectacular in the "less talk, more fighting" way, which supposely will suit you well.
Can't say much more than enjoy it.
I love the series Alvin, and as soon as this came out, I jumped up and shouted, "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTT!!!!!!!"

I liked it. Sprite battle was amazing. I am sure that is what happens in my fridge.
Laugh out loud funny. An amazing tribute to a well admired master of sprite flash. Or is it Sprite flash?
Way to completely destroy sprite movies in general. About time someone pointed out how tired and repetitive the vast majority of them are. More correctly, about time someone pointed that out in a flash that actually is kind of well animated.
The pointless "Sprite" fight scene was pretty dead on. Lots of flashing colors and loud noises with copious amounts of slow motion; exactly like the stupid fight scenes it's parodying. Even used the same sound effects.
Calling this "Super Mario Bros z ep 8" is bound to piss some people off and get you plenty of flaming reviews. But then again, pissing fans of sprite animation off is what this whole thing is about.
Good sprite animations are few and far between - kind of ironic that a sprite animation meant to put down other sprite animations turns out to be one of the better ones.

I was planning on just giving this a zero and leaving but i decided to watch it and it was actually mildly entertained. -2 for the attempt at a fake video but it was actually pretty good, i doubt a lot of people will see it this way though...

I've seen Mario Bros. Z parodies before, and most of them suck. But this one actually has a decent sense of humor. I especially love that Sprite fight.
This is even more clever than Krinkies. I actually thought you were the real deal for a minute. Like I said to Madness Frustration: Good idea, bad movie.
It made me lulz just a bit. I am now in need of some sprite.
I'm not the kind of guy who gets mad cause you parodied something. I'm the kind of guy that finds thing fucking hilarious because it's a good job. That story though. Mario's got a thing for mario. On the beach. And big black things. No doubt.
When I saw that sprite fight... I was blown away.

Pretty funny. I read the reviews before I watched, though, so I knew it was just a parody. Still good, though! I give you a 9/10, 5/5 for really being good with the 'sprite' fight. You used number 7's sounds to make the fight thing, though, right?

What a great movie!! It was good till the part where it got great then it was super. My 5 year old cousin didn't care for it though. He's been watching since the beginning and he thought the lack of story sucked the quaility right out of this work. So please, next time give Kainoa what he wants. Half Action, Half Story. You get 8/10 from me for getting 3.07 on a SPAM flash. That's amazing. I knew there were dumbasses on Newgrounds, but I had no idea that the fanboys on here were so hardcore they'd jump the gun that quickly. The comments are amazing too. All of the "OMG so soon? Best ever!" comments made me laugh pretty hard. I hope this video stays up long enough that at least 10,000 people can see the stupid fanboy comments that have been made on here and laugh at the retards that posted them.

I wish less people like you would devote less time to copying and trying to take credit for other people's work. However, If i remember correctly, you basically parodied a fight scene from the actual SMB-Z series, which I actually laughed at. Then, when you flipped to what I only hope was your actual drawing skill, it was actually good. If you actually put your talents to good use instead of devoting way too much time to parodying other people's work, you might be able to contribute something to the site. Honestly, it's a shame to see things like this happen because fans of these series look at these 'fakes' thinking they are real and it's only a waste of time. I think this one skated through simply on the funny of the flash alone
That was weird. But everyone, Alvin himself made this parody so it's not that bad. But still, I had my hopes up.
I don't feel like reiterating what everyone else already said, but I do think the sprite joke was kinda funny.
The humor was admittedly sub-standard, although the "sprite battle" was comical, the action does deserve some credit, and if what was drawn really was your best, you may want to stick to sprites. I assume that this will not make it into the collection, considering that this was not on the Alvin-Earthworm account. Regardless, it does deserve at least a six out of ten, but please, many viewers are waiting for the real SMBZ 8 to be released, so don't rise the viewers hopes only to have them smashed by a parody.

This would have been a perfect ten if it weren't for the fact that you opened with some really long gay porn fan fiction. Not only was it unneccessarily long it was only also ridiculously fast moving text (some sound effects of mario getting it on with the dude may have made it bearable though). The sprite battle was a humorous recreation of the sonic, robot sonic fight from an earlier episode (i forget which). Ending was a little anti-climatic made so mostly by the lack of the LAZER! sfx and the length of continued animation after the laser. Good stuff overall, if you're going to parody anyone it might as well be yourself, right?
on some serious stuff i knew this wasnt da real thing cause ur flashes take like more then three months [no disrespect] and u make them really good and i thought it was ajoke and i was right. and da longer it takes da better they come out
Honestly the "Sprite battle" joke was funny, but you shouldn't try to get people to watch your videos by pretending to be the real Alvin-Earthworm!
Damn, man, it took a long enough time! And enough fake SMBZ Flashes submitted, and enough time spent by spammers in making the Flashes, enough pissy reviews by kids who were fooled by it, and enough 0s by those same kids who left the angry reviews.
This movie perfectly captures the essence of SMBZ and the movies it inspired, and spoofs every part of it. The use of bad jokes and familiar points of reference for "humorous" effect, the DBZ-inspired "sprite" fights (though the idea of using Sprite soda as a joke about sprites is a little old, it's not old enough to be completely unfunny), the 4chan jokes, all of that was present in this movie, and of course spoofed. The sprite fight was as good as the real one's sprite fights, only much funnier.
PROS:
Humor is definitely a plus, and this is probably the first truly funny SMBZ fake I've yet seen. Good job there. Also the old "Sprite soda=sprite animation" joke hasn't quite gotten old to me yet.
CONS:
This was obviously made for the purpose of trolling, if you can count that as a "con". The "shitty humor" parts coulda been a bit longer too, but since you promised that it would be less talk and more fighting, yeah, that's not much of a problem.
OVERALL:
Not bad, not bad at all...

I, in no way, give two shits about the super smash bros Z series, (or what ever the hell it's called) but thought I would give this a watch as i had some time to kill. to my surprise, i stumble upon one of those people who makes parodies of popular flash series and sighed a sigh of disappointment. That was, of course, until i realized that you put some effort into ripping on the series. I am so sick of people trying to pass off shit like some guy masterbating as satirical humor, and it was a relief to see something that was stupid, but in a way that actually makes fun of the series in a relative manner. So, congrats on putting some elbow grease into your finely polished parody and i hope that people will take note and put some thought and effort into their belittlement of others.
I have to admit that you actually had me thinking that it was the eighth episode of this particular series, until, that is, I looked to see your other submissions. However, out of simple curiosity, I decided to give it a look to see if it was any good at all. While I cannot deny the fact that I am somewhat fond of the real series, if only for the sheer silliness of it all.
Notwithstanding this fact, I can still enjoy the fact that someone took the time and effort necessary to make this kind of parody, which, for all intents and purposes, is a carbon copy of the series patented vastly overextended fight scenes that end up using the same special effects and sound clips. I'm not going to try and say that the original fight scenes are fantastically innovative; I've seen better from people who've taken the time to do their own artwork.
But this was still funny as hell. All good things need a good parody. XD

That was a pretty pathetic way to get a flash movie into the portal. You make an account just like a famous flash artist and submit crap flashes knowing people would rate 5's and such automatically because they liked the previous episodes of the series. What, you're not confident enough that if you made a SMBZ spoof without trying to fool the idiots it wouldn't pass?
Honestly, stop being a troll and actually try to make a decent flash submission instead of being an idiot. I'm sure with the way you replicate almost perfectly the intro of the SMBZ loading and even video quality page you could make something at least halfway decent. I'll give a 1 for the flash skills in the replication but by no means does that mean I enjoyed the flash.

i think your video was funny, not funny as hell, but satisfying. your big mistake was using someone's else name, and this is what pissed us off. if you warned us that it was a parody, you would clearly get good reviews, but as i said, you just pissed us off by using alvin's name.

You know, I actually did like this parody, despite how you don't seem to get where Alvin is going with having those type of fight scenes. DBZ, the anime in which he's obviously is parodying in his work is like that. Yes, its old, its repetitive, but it's true to what he's trying to match.
Other then that, it was actually a really funny parody, I had to laugh at your use of "sprites."
However, it is NOT funny when you take the names of an anticipated flash movie. I get that you're trying to trick the dumb fans of this series, but those that will be tricked won't understand a slight spelling error either. If I was making any series and this happened to me I'd be throwing a fit when I tried to submit my flash and couldn't keep my titles because someone already took it.
Go ahead an mock an artist, I'm all for freedom of speech, and some of the funniest movies to me is the parody of other well-known artists. Such as Power Star 4.5. Didn't like the series that much, but the parody was absolutely hilarious.
Next time, please just post this on your main account, don't mask yourself, and the flash movie just to mock the artist and his fans, it makes you look like a jerk, and not the intelligent artist I believe you are. Besides, how am I going to give you proper credit if I have no idea who you actually are?

I opened it expecting part 8 to the awesome SMBZ to distract me for a while, and boy was I tricked. I give you a 7 for successfully and perfectly recreating the battle in SMBZ Ep. 7, with the exception of the "Sprites". :D
However, I do agree with Meanderingmouse, that when the -real- Alvin tries to upload his video, he has to use a different name. You should have slightly altered the title from Alvin's naming scheme. Put a dot or hyphen somewhere.
But you fooled me. Completely. :P Until I got the title screen, that is. I suspected that the real Alvin slacked off as I looked at the review scores, but did not read the reviews.
Also, this will lag some users for some odd reason. I know Linux doesn't have very good flash acceleration yet, but all Windows users with slow computers may experience some lag. You may want to fix this if you intend on keeping it up here.
But seriously -- I'd want this blammed if I were Alvin because you took his movie name. -.-'

I do have to say this is one of the better parodies I'm seen. You have good talent and shouldn't waste it inuslting another series. Good job, but the humor was bad.
Seriously. This is an AWESOME parody off Alvin's work. I really don't get why people take that kind of thing seriously... Raging after that guy is basically losing. The animation was awesome, and the retardedness of the story was just enough for peaple with half a brain to realise that's it's not friggin' serious. I really laughed, and I don't see what keeps people from laughing. Because it's not nice to Alvin ? Hell, who cares ? Alvin will certainly not be hurt by this. Even if he already said before "I'm stopping SMBZ because of trolls", I really don't see him saying that again. He is not stupid. In episode 7, with the "over 9000" joke, he somewhat admitted that his work was a bit repetitive and sometimes lacks humor. I seriously think he can take it the way it should be : not seriously. I seriously don't understand why you bother. If you hadn't insisted on trying to pass this off a SMBZ8 then It would have actually been rather decent. The sprite battle was good (apart from the fact that the sound was ripped from smbz7). Unlike the other jackasses who waste their time trying to pass off crap as something popular; you actually have potential to make something decent so make use of it rather than making pointless crap like this.

I thought you actually put some effort into this, but I quickly realized that you simply STOLE the real Alvin Earthworm's animation and replaced the graphics with your own crappy ones. I thought it was funny how all you needed to do was take the hyphen out of his name in order to use it. You fooled a lot of people, including myself. Still, if you were going to make fun of Alvin-Earthworm, you could have put a little more effort into it. I know this review's going to be marked useless, but I'm going to try to contribute to this video getting the lowest score ever. The flash was indeed terrible, and I thought that the joke about useless sprite fight scenes didn't make much sense. All of the fight scenes in his series are plot devices connecting one part of the story to the next. They aren't pointless, and they actually serve a purpose. If you're going to mock something, it would make more sense to mock something that is actually wrong with the series.

This was actually some pretty funny stuff, I like the idea behind a "sprite battle" but the intro was a little cliched, though I did like the quality menu...To be honest the idea was actually pretty funny, if you had just kept the sprite battle and changed the intro, and not made a doppelganger account name. On the behalf of the video, I do feel like this would have a bigger impact if the
artist did use different sodas. I personally would have used Pepsi for Sonic, Coke for Mario and maybe RC brand Cola for Mecha-Sonic, but that is just me.
With the exception of the obvious intent to slam Alvin, this was pretty farkin' funny. The execution was flawless.
It was a let down seeing this but he obviously put some time into it. but it lacked skill in the way it was just a simple rip off with just replacing them with sodas which anyone could do really. It takes no skill to copy and paste. I'll give it a 2 though since it was a lil funny in the way that it was not expected. Hopefully the real deal comes out sometime soon though:)
Okay first of all, this is not AlvinEarthworm he put a capital i instead of a lowercase L and on here they look the same. But this was actually pretty funny, it's kind of like being rickrolled. I have even sent this to friends. So I don't understand why people can't just understand this is a joke instead of getting pissed off, and even if it was by Alvin you still would be wrong by putting angry comments because it is his series so he would have the right. But anyway this is by The-DeadDuck I am guessing and I found it pretty funny.

Ok that was pretty funny. You're a bit harsh on the real creator of this tune, but I definitely see your point. It is much more impressive when someone animates using original artwork instead of over-used sprites. And the fighting Sprite bottles: classic.

1st of all I can understand how this is supposed to make fun of SMBZ but it shouldn't be called Episode 8, that's what ticks halfof these people off. With that out of the way, the real gem of movie was deffinetly the "Sprite" Battle. the fact you completely (down to every last hit AND Sound effect) coplied that battle only with Sprite bottles made it very interesting, slightly funny and made it worth watching, somewhat (The Shoop da woop at the end also helped a bit). I must admit, your animation skills are actualy not half bad (The "Sprite" Battle showing your best...). other then that I half nothing else to say except for this. this movie is better then some of the other Immatations I've seen, at least...
My guess on this is that... you no longer care about the series. These reviews sure aren't gonna help with inspiration. Or did you make this completely as a joke?
Regardless of that, this was really quite unnecessary, Alvin. We've all been eagerly awaiting the continuation of this series. But, the choice is up to you.
Though just so you know, I still want to see the continuation of it. But I can't force you to do it.
