Squario

Not much to say, Squario is a platformer loosely based on Mario, however with some core engine parts changed, some more features and some features missing.
The game is 16 levels long, and is pretty difficult!
Even though - enjoy!

Update:
-Changed the player movement.

World 1 is pretty easy, but not too bad!
World 2 is also easy, but not quite.
World 3 is quite hard, but doable with enough tries.
And World 4 is advanced hot garbage. I don't wanna be harsh here, but i never was able to finish this specific World when i finally reached it. I could never reach level 4, due to how terribly designed the overall world was. I remember as a kid i willingly wanted to spoil the ending for myself. I mean, as a kid, i could not get past World 2/3, but as the years passed, i did get to World 4.

Overall, not bad, but it drops the ball at World 4. I know it's supposed to be difficult, but it makes Lost Levels look simple by comparision.

this is the best copy of super mario.

Hard as hell as a kid, I actually fucking cried 8 years ago after getting a game over in World 3. But seems easy now after beating it several times. It is a great challenging version of Mario, it feels like a brand new game.

The Overworld music is such a bop. And the sound effects are stuck in my head. Sure it feels a LITTLE icy, but I think it is still easy to control the one-eyed Spongebob.

it's fine.

welcome to mario but it sucks, and he's a square.
