9/19/2013: Announcing “THE BALLADS OF REEMUS 2” KICKSTARTER campaign! I'm going to flesh out (get it?!) the Death Slug storyline with new puzzles, voice acting, and shiny graphics for Reemus's beerbelly. I've already posted a prototype if you want to check it out!

Support it here:

The next chapter in the ongoing saga of Reemus & Liam.

I read all your feedback and tried to improve upon all the criticisms. It ended up being twice the workload, which is why I'm about two months late with releasing it. Hopefully you enjoy the extra effort!

Expect more animation, bigger puzzles and the ability to finally control Reemus and Liam.

There are also 3 possible end ranking combinations.

- Scene 3 - after de-rooting the lung plant you must click on another part of the tree instead of the hole. This is not a glitch! Find another part of the tree root to click on.

-Final Scene - After you throw the pineapple into the cave opening and hide, the Gygax appears to freeze. This is not a bug, you must find something else to click on.

Hope that helps.

-awesome game from Zeebarf made in the usual 'good-for-the-eyes' way.
(Except for the darn 'music') :)

Great buuuuut...

How does the ending make any sense? O_o

I like how it is not boringly easy but not frustratingly hard. A great balance!
One bug though on the scene when Liam is trying to get the honey but the troll is blocking him.
If you burn the pipe leaf but don't let the roots out then you can't click anything. Not major since all you have to do is restart the scene.
Anyway, I managed to get a double Hero ranking (I ROCK!)

Gameplay was fluid, the music wasn't grating, and the puzzles all made that weird kind of sense associated with this game. It's great to see the improvements from the last games- the restart scene button and the skip cutscene button look and feel much more solid.
There's not a bug in sight unless you count the wildlife, the timers (if any) and puzzles are fair in that I was able to figure it all out on the first try without dying or locking myself out of anything, yet challenging in that it still took an hour or two to beat.
I can't think of anything to really "fix." The sounds- especially the music, I didn't shut it off because I actually loved it- are fantastic, the graphics are well done (maybe a quality button for people on Tandys or something >.>), the plot- while somewhat odd- has flowed well enough and even the new system- the switching- was done well. Normally when a new system like that gets implemented there's one or two glitches and you can see some teleportation going on if you move one character and then switch to the other mid-move, but that's really minor compared to the rest of the game.

The series has grown in both system and plot and it's becoming more and more fantastic, surreal, and epic every time. Keep up the wondrous work guys.
