Move your trooper with WASD. He can walk left and right, duck, jump and double jump.
Pressing keys 1-4 will change your weapon-
1) Gun (single)
2)Gun (burst)
3)Gun (shotgun)
4)Grenade
Aim and fire with the mouse. SPACE will allow you to enter your ship and use the more powerful cannon.
Use the energy from the insects to upgrade your weapons.
Press P for Pause and options.

This game is very fun though hard. I made it to level 28. Some people complained about it being hard to switch weapons properly, but you can just remap the keys to your liking. It is also a good time-waster.

:) I lasted until wave 11... yey?
Anyways it's a nice challenge, but I think it's meant to be impossilbe for anyone whom is playing it :P (just look at the spike in weapon upgrades when you've reached lvl 4?)

They keep getting me at wave 10.

It gets much too hard for anything once you reach a huge upgrade jump. Then, when it reaches that stage, you're helpless as you can only sit in your cockpit, firing the pathetically slow recharging vulcan, unable to get any energy to upgrade... Needs a little balance fix with the vulcan. A good deal more damage per shot, or a much quicker recharge. The only thing that could kill anything was grenades, and I can't stand outside to fire those without getting hit and dying... Yeah, backed into a corner and raped. It's because of this massive difficulty jump, and the fact that the grenade is troublesome to get too when using burst that I cannot give this more than a 2.5
