Edit: I can't believe I actually got Daily Third! Thank you so much Newgrounds!

Edit:Yes I know the election is over, the assignment was due after the election so I finished it after the election, do not badger me about it.

This movie was created for a history project. The assignment was to make a commercial about two minutes in length based on your candidate's side of an issue that was important to you. In my time, I have created, re-done, and edited this movie so that people of a good mind can understand and possibly enjoy it.

Also, I'll be presenting this to my class of mostly Super-Republicans later this week, if you really like the movie then wish me luck since it will likely be shot down by booing and angry squeals.

And so I leave you with "This is the way the War Ends." Animated by myself to music from the band Devotchka. The song is "How it Ends."

About 2:38 in length.

Ok, I see where you're coming from...

but how narrow can you be? I am not going to say Obama won't do something great for our country, but he's not the alpha and the omega or anything. Why does everyone think Obama is so perfect? Even Kennedy screwed up with the Bay of Pigs. You know how history repeats itself. Not only that, but Obama was quoted as saying that he may or may not change his policies concerning the war once he has obtained the electoral vote [shady?].

I didn't like McCain either.

My main problem: How can you put forth the casualty rate of the military as such a huge evil? That's inherent in the job. Saying that people didn't know what they were getting into when they signed up is an insult to their intelligence. A lot of people are proud of their service in Iraq and don't feel it's a hopeless cause (like you seem to think). War is not beautiful. People get hurt and ideologies become twisted by politics and speculation and scandal, but by saying that the war is pointless or hopeless completely nullifies the sacrifices already made by our military. I think that ending the war is a good idea considering the imminent economic crisis, but let's not say that what the men and women of the armed forces has accomplished so far is pointless or hopeless. Let's not be so reckless as to pull out at the wrong time completely so that what we HAVE accomplished does not collapse and truely makes the war pointless.

Excellence.

As said before by others, the point is well made. Change we indeed need. No more of the same. Or should I say shame? Hopefully this egotistical country is set straight soon, the soldiers pulled back, and hopefully some peace shall rain down and sooth us all. Sadly that probably is not the case. But your movie is meaningful and I greatly enjoy. If

A point worthwhile!

I am glad Obama won. If it was not for me being from the UK Obama would have definetly got my vote.
Unfortunately though people are entitled to vote for whom ever they want, i am glad of this but the thing that angers me about it is that someone is willing to vote for the other candidate only based on the opinion that Mccain is a true American for having fought in the Vietnam war. But as always people are entitled to their own opinions and i can respect that. I have no problem with Mccain and overall he was a decent candidate for the title of president (But Obama won it for me of course in my view! but then again that is opinion.)
On another note i thought the flash itself was decent. Decent graphics but i feel its not fair to judge the animation on quality of graphics but more on the message it was portraying and for that i salute you as it is a worth while message that needs to be transceived.
Oh and does no one read the description? as you can see the flash was due AFTER the election. Any way i shall finish this off as i fear it is lagging on and my point has been stated.
Now i leave you with this final quote
In peace, sons bury their fathers. In war, fathers bury their sons. - Herodotus.
Goodbye - coolio335.
