Step back in time, rather, times to visit several moments of history needed to be retold. Your family's cursed history of death and loss in times of struggle is about to be routed, and it's up to you to stitch the pieces back together... literally.

Dark Cut 3 is one of my more ambitious projects to date. Going back to nearly a year ago, the intention was to make Dark Cut 2 a Civil War surgery simulator and to make Dark Cut 3 a futuristic simulation. However, the prospect of creating future surgeries is rather difficult. Newer surgeries have less mess, less stress, and other things that end in -ess. In other words, sterile was not what I wanted at all. So I compromised... new technology to revisit older times. A time machine, if you will.

The music in this project was composed by MaestroRage. His music was in the original Dark Cut 2 and he left me a nice review which meant he liked it, so I approached him this time to do custom tracks for this game. His work was amazing, as usual.

I hope you enjoy this project, it was definitely a lot of work and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed hitting Ctrl+Enter for the first time.

There are extra treatments you can do on the Armor Games website that do not really pertain to the story, so if you are craving pus you should go over there :).

I swear...

...leave it to jmtb02 to come up with the most innovative portal games you'll ever find on NG. My only problem is that there should be a penalty for failing to remove a piece of shrapnel (like it damages the patient even more). Also, it seems like if I just keep sedating my patient, I have all the time I need to work on them. Still, great game and great work on setting the atmosphere and mood.

My god, I can't play this! (I'll try later...)

I can't play it. I like it, but there are many problems I've encountered with bugs, and the game is too annoying to be fun to me. Add a "how to play" section or something! I'm tired, and I thought this would be fun and easy and help calm me down like the first one! Also, the window keeps minimizing whenever I start a surgery thing. It's so annoying, because by the time I can get it to come up again, the patient has already DIED. Which is RETARDED. Since I'm unable to play anything more than a few seconds of the first surgery, I can't give you an accurate rating. I'm sure it's great, like most of the Armor Games games, but I don't want to give a 10 to something that may suck if I actually get far enough in or give a 0 to something that's really good.

As Usual, Amazing, But...

Once again, you've managed to catch my eye in such an incredible way. However, I do have a few complaints. For starters, the challenge rating is low and it's easy to get all the achievement awards once you find out where the easter egg is. I went to Armor Games and managed to get 100% all in a few minutes. It has a great storyline, but such a great story could carry so much more. Dark Cut 1 gave you your things, but you had to do things exactly right or you would hurt your patient, making it difficult somewhat. Dark Cut 2 was a little more lenient on that, but gave you a time limit that you had to slow by making your patients drunk. The only real challenge in this game is to keep your patients sedated, which you don't want to do too much if you want Near Death Achievement or do to 100% if you want the Hypersleep achievement.

Levels are also too easy. As I stated before, it's easy to keep your patient sedated. If you don't know where your syringe is, it's at the top right folks. Don't despair if you die your first time. Hitting retry gives you your Rewind Achievement, so keep playing by all means. Everything is given to you like in Dark Cut 1, but there's no consequences for missing except it doesn't get done and you make a hasty backtrack to the square you missed. The only difficult part of a level is when you have to drag things out and avoid the white walls. That added a little more challenge... to the third and fourth level.

However, the end was a real thriller... except for one thing... I wonder why the guy decided to log out. Did he think he was being used? Did he think he was playing God and was wrong for it? Did he realize that all of this was an illusion and that he really wasn't saving lives at all, but playing pretend? Another thing... how is the computer able to harm this guy... unless being uplinked to him does that... and why didn't he just cut the plug, why did he have to remove his arm?

The game has its flaws, but it's extremely fun to play, so I still give it a 10/10. If anyone needs help finding achievements or the like, please send me a message... though I gave away three here... didn't I?

*gets woozy*

User Status:
first level: a little grossed ,but ok
second level: completed then I felt really sick vision in my right eye went a little black, and i nearly threw up.

Note to Self: Do NOT (I repeat NOT) attend medical school.
Note to Everyone Else: I now know i have a weak stomach
I'll give it a 4/5 because its gameplay is rather solid and graphics are amazing....but thats also the bad part (CURSE YOU GRAPHICS!!!).
