Hey Newgrounders, after months of... work? Yeah, work... I've got my first actual game! It revolves around a completely random Pokémon by the name of Wooper and his quest to save his sister, Woopette, from teh evil MUDKIPZ! (Save the girl? How original!) You go through 20 levels of puzzle/platforming in a Mario-like setting... in fact, it IS a Mario setting! Don't ask why. Mario has cameos everywhere. He's just cool like that. Anyway, I'll leave you with that; if there are any glitches, tell me, be sure to leave a review, ciao.

I'M FIRING MY LAZOR!!!

Great game, especially because of the ending. i read all this page's reviews and still think you could've made it harder. i dont know, maybe put a "joke mode" or something, which would be this game, and an "normal mode" which would be the same story with "real" levels. sorry if you find me harsh about your game, but from what i read you technically think the same thing :P. also, on the lvl where you have to jump out of the screen to avoid a ghastly (lvl 16 or 17), something strange happenned. i guess its because i hit him while i was out of the screen. what happened is you heard the mario stomping sound and when i fell down i was in the "dead whooper position", the only thing is, i could keep playing XD altough some invisibile wall blocked me the passage to the key so i had to commit suicide...anyway, whats the closest to suicide for pokemon, since they cant die. anyway, keep it up and id like ti see a sequel!

Thanks a lot! Yes, this game was originally intended to be a joke. And by looking at it, you can kinda tell. :P And yeah, that glitch seems to happen a lot, but to fix it would mean redoing the whole system and there's no way I could be arsed to do that.

Thanks for your review! :P

A very entertaining game.

This game was a nice one, very fun and kept me entertained the whole way through. However, I do have some complaints.

First of all the level design seems to be random and some of the first levels are harder then the latter ones, which makes the game a little less dramatic as the last few levels don't seem much harder then the rest. In my opinion the game was too easy. I found my self blowing through the levels and only died once because there was no wall on the far right of the stage and I fell off. In fact, some of the levels don't pose any challenge at all except for a lone enemy, idle at the corner of the level. One final complaint, what is with the 'continue' system?? You just pick a level and it sends you there, no passwords or anything. For me this feature would either need to have passwords or just to be cut out.

Now for what I liked. Though this game was simple it was enjoyable. The art, the style, and especially the 4chan humor really makes this game fun to play. The platforming AS is done great (though that doesn't get you any bonus points because it's easy to find those types of codes on the Internets). The ending cut scene was animated great, and I loved the 'IMMA FIRIN MAH LAZER' and pokemon only fainting jokes. This game isn't the greatest platformer out there but it could be one of the funniest and I bet it's the most internet-y. Great game. :)

Thanks! The levels didn't pose a challenge, but they're not exactly supposed to. It's more supposed to be a game you can play through rather than one that poses a challenge... I don't even know what the hell I'm saying. Some levels don't have many enemies, but they're usually the ones that at least make you stop and think for a second or 2 or end up making you go the wrong way. If the difficulty thing is that big a problem to you, then play the game backwards. ;)

The continue system wouldn't work with passwords. What would be the point? If you lose all your lives, only to type in a password, and start at the same level, what would be the point of having a life system? It's also convenient for those who blow at platformers and just want to see the ending. Starting over at level 1 every time would just be annoying. If the continue system were something different, people would complain about that. Anyway, I'm ranting on about something not worth the rant.

Thank you for your great review and the compliments.

it was great

It was great, very cute, great music. Only problem I had with the game was on level 13, no matter what I did I couldn't get passed that ghost thing and had to use the level skip, maybe I wasn't doing something right or maybe its a glitch, just in case I thought I would still say something about it. But in closing I would have to say very good game and Hope to see more. Great Job!

Loney03DK responds:

Ha! I feel so smart, someone actually got stuck on one of my levels! :P

You are not supposed to jump over the ghost, you jump the other way and make your way down after getting the key.

Thanks for the review! <3

Better that I expected

this game is great but the quick draw is really easy.

Loney03DK responds:

The Quick Draw was meant to be a quick little thing and was basically a test for myself to see if I could make one. It shouldn't be taken too seriously. Thanks for the 10!

Mudkip..

personifies the American culture perfectly. Nice Dr. Octagonupus reference.

Loney03DK responds:

The Dr. Octagonapus thing was actually added last-minute. It was originally Wooper just shoop'ing Woopette, but I felt that this fit better. :P

Oh, and are you aware that Mudkip is now slang for buttsecks? So read over your review one more time with that in mind. ;P
