This one is about a man and his dog.
WARNING: May be slow on some older computers due to lots of textures and camera movement. It looked a bit choppy on my laptop. Select a lower quality if that's the case. I've put it up on youtube for anyone that finds it unwatchably laggy.
what else from the creator of salad fingers??
creapy as ever dude
That is the most disturbing and random thing I have ever seen. I suppose I should have expected nothing less from David Firth. The animation gives the unmistakable signs of having a deeper meaning, and it disturbs us enough that we don't get to that deeper meaning until it's too late. Wonderful work, sir.
So pleasantly morbid.
I see you've done some new things with Flash. Good for you, and your learning brain of meat.
Typically an enjoyable experience, watching your videos, and this one was no different.
I especially liked the part where the man-dog thanked the tumor; brought it all together, really.
So, kudos for this vid, and hope to see more in the future.
I understand now
I watched this a few years ago. Saw it as nothing more than shock value and a "straight line" story. Now I appreciate it for what it is. I think the meaning is meant to be interpreted in the eyes of the viewer, it's supposed to make you think.
The symbolism, eerie atmosphere, and mood of the whole thing make this something special. I wish more people could watch it with an open mind, or in my case, give it a 2nd chance
i always love doki's work. its always creative and well drawn(and by this i mean smoothly animated). i dont get some other people's ratings either, rating it poor because of a bad memory it reminds them of or because if it war reality it would be immoral. i dont think people quite understand that these are expressions and dont necessarily have to make sense, they just have to instill a feeling in you. but whatever honestly none of our opinions matter, as long as the creator gets what he wants out of it, thats all that counts. and i'll be here watching every submission.
