The response to Boombot 1 was massive so we created a sequel. This time we made better levels, and added fuses, planks, and boulders into the mix.
We also created a level editor for the fans to use. You can play it at boombotworld.com.
Enjoy the game!
Wow very addicting and challenging!
This is very quick paced and makes u think strategy on how to use the bombs effectively. Nice upgrades to the first one.
I really do enjoy this game, but the way this series is going reminds of Bloons. The first few were good, then the level editor came out, then the players packs. I enjoyed playing those, but the most frustrating part was the number of player-made puzzles that involved an insane amount of perfection on the part of the player to succeed. I fear that is what is happening with Boombot. Several of the levels are dependent on how big of an explosion the player makes and the boombot's shape can make even realistically passable levels frustrating because of how the boombot spins and moves, sometimes getting him wedged and/or falling back down, thus making the level impossible without infinite bombs. And with this level editor, I can easily see a player pack of BoomBot emerging, also filled with levels that require everything to be going your way before you can complete a level.
On that note, I took two stars off for the aforementioned levels where it's possible to do everything right and yet still fail because the boombot got stuck on a corner that he didn't enter JUST right. And if indeed a player's pack is on the horizon, please, PLEASE try to put in levels that challenge the player, not ones that rely on the boombot to fit in a space JUST right.
Nice concept but execution needs work.
Never played the first one. Explosion effects were good. It's too tough though, can't get past 7 even though I can choose any level. Level editor might be kind of fun to share with other people.
booom bot :)
