The sad truth...
An animated, fictional squirrel has more common sense and intellect than roughly 80-95% of so-called "experts". Yet the issue isn't our willingness to buy into obvious lies and half-truths, but rather that as Americans we don't exercise our Constitutional right to speak out and question those in power; or at best, we question the most inane and ultimately pointless things. Big Brother may or may not be watching, folks... but if we never speak up and remind them who it was put them into their cushy offices in the first place then they will CONTINUE to misuse, abuse, and twist that power. Does that mean revolt? No, of course not. It means remind the American government that they are a government of the people, by the people, and for the people. That their tendency toward acting like we're privileged to exist in the same country as them is not acceptable and that, yes, even the highest echelons of government ARE accountable to the people they are supposed to work in the best interests of.
