Too True
I was going on about this a few days ago... If the american population was educated we would have already had a second revolution and overthrew the corrupt politicans so we would have to be in these bs times we call a "Recession", But seriously, if you not as dumb as a log then you know where pretty much in a fricken second depression... Also politicans can never be trusted because they have never been in the situations that most american families are experiencing today.

Insightful
I disagree with some of what you said about politicians (they aren't inherently evil, but they're mostly interested in solidifying their power base) but your school stuff was mostly right on. Private schools suck though, they aren't any better than public schools as far as I could tell, having gone to both. The only difference is that public school kids aren't arrogant assholes.
Oh, and for the student complaining about how they're cutting teachers but fixing the vending machines, the vending machines are owned by private companies, the school is not paying for their repairs (unless your school is very different from mine).
Funding cannot make schools better. Much as I hate the subject, a greater focus on English would probably help students the most, as a good english teacher can be the red pill that lets you see the world as it really is, or at least lets you recognize that things aren't as they seem.
