My longest submission ever, a dark take on the horror of war. Basically, the Greens face off against the Reds and end up in global devastation and mutually assured destruction.

I originally created this for a school project, so it was super rushed, which really shows around the midway point. It's still one of my best works and still rocks though. Sorry there isn't a preloader, but it's only 336 KB, so it shouldn't be much of a problem.

I'm welcome to criticism and ideas, and I will respond to every review, so please review! I'm curious to see what you think of this instead of just a number vote. And remember to watch it all the way to the end before voting or reviewing!

Not bad

Pretty well done, well animated, could use some sound though.

I couldn't find any music that complemented the movie, and I thought sounds would be too jarring and detract from the silent movie feel. Thanks for the review!

well done

and very true. the animation was smooth, but some music or sound fx would have been nice.

This COULD have been cool.

If there was sound and better graphics it would be cool.

chinkeeyong responds:

So it's not cool. Nice review you got thar.

It's like Half-a-movie

Visually, I'd say this is passable. You've done some kind of interesting things, though at times it was hard to distinguish what was happening. I.E. during the Lock and Load montage.

The crippling problem is that there is no Sound. None. The audience can feel no pathos without any Dialogue or Music. Hell, you coulda just gotten the Edwin Starr song 'War' and played it over the top. And without any kind of audio track, it feels like an incomplete piece, like you're showing a picture half-drawn.

Try submitting again once you've added some sound.

Is it that bad? There's no sound or music because I thought distinguishable sounds would be jarring and I couldn't find any music that complemented the movie's theme. Thanks for the review!
