"A solid game with variety..good way to waste a day"

I've noticed a lot of reviews complaining about the difficulty...even on the easy settings.
I've made it beyond level 360 on EXTREME (and the game was still going..I just sold my powerplants to let the creeps through and see what kind of score I had at that point.
It's a matter of strategy..knowing the range and capabilities of your towers, deciding when to make major upgrades vs when to sit on your bank account and collect interest..and as has been pointed out, it becomes more of a resource management game as it plays out...I had literally unlimited funds while collecting only 6% interest...it's just a matter of finding which towers can sustain you long enough to build up your bank account.
Good game with nice music that doesn't get too old or annoying as time goes on...the variety in the levels are nice and force you to use different towers in different ways every time...
My only complaint is in regards to scoring..and it might just be because I can't figure out how they do it...
But scoring is based on the amount of money you have plus the value of your buildings. Cash caps out at $99,999,999 though, making it very hard to score much over a hundred million. Yet there are players on the boards who are well into the BILLIONS. What gives? There's no way I can conceive to possibly invest that much money into buildings with the resources available and such. *helpless shrug*
Either way..great game, strongly recommend it :)
