EDIT: DAILY 4TH!?!?!?! I LOVE YOU NEWGROUNDS :3 Tutorial collection too! Thanks Tom :D!
Wow. This took a while. You'll see what you mean when you see how much detail i've put into this and how many frames. My proudest work to date. This covers:

Movement
Gravity
Floors
Doors
Walls
Enemy AI
Attacks
Health And Items/Powerups.

Sorry about being weak in enemy AI, i'm not very smart in it :P. Right click for options, and enjoy - I put a lot of work into this :)

EDIT: Added Flash API - be sure to click the ad for me ;D. I like moneh :D.

EDIT 2: I flicked through a few reviews, some recent concerning the music. There is a right click menu with options to turn the music off, to let you know ;).

I don't think I saw it but

I didn't get all the way through it. What if you have power ups in the game? how would you make it so than when you got the power up it would change your gravity or all of that?

Quite an intelligent tutorial

No, this tutorial doesn't cover most of the displays of the lesson in question, but it does explain everything down to the last detail, and it explains where-to and how to put the actionscript in.

The only thing this tutorial doesn't cover, which really isn't too serious seeing as how NO tutorial covers this, is multiple-layered levels. The regular method of using a labeled instances only works for a single leveled area. Sure, fun to a degree.

All-in-all, a good and informative tutorial.

Very good tutorial

Nicely done. This will help me quite a bit, but is this Actionscript 2.0 or 3.0?
