It's the demo. This game based off of the move "Office Space". Hope you like it. And I think it's good enough to go here instead of Alphas.
Things to expect for full version:
Better graphics
A store
A park
The factory
Over 10 promotion levels
Interactivity with other characters
more!

UPDATE: I am aware about the many bugs in this DEMO (demos usually have problems, lol) and will be fixed for the full edition, for instance: (these are things that will be in full version)
-Characters walks through walls and objects
Also, you can buy items in store
there are secret items you click on for bonusues.

So even if you don't like it, i am getting lots of practice from it, and in the future I can come out with much greater things with this knoledge. so thanks for the feedback; you did bring a FEW things to my knoledge i didnt know about, but most of the things i did know about.

With this demo, there's no point to the game. I noticed that you have to earn money. But there's no point considering that the shop isn't open.
It would be useful if you couldn't go through walls too.
But there are good points.
You used some good music(The Waiting Room is one of my favourite pieces on Newgrounds, and sound clips from the movie was nice. I liked the little jokes in the room, too. (Bush makes fool of himself again)
So all in all, I found the demo to be a mixed bag. It only gets 5 because there is no game in here, but the music and sound clips make it feel like a game. My score will go up by at least 2 when everything works.

Needs work, though I do like some of the effects (You did a very nice job on the building highlights)

But a bug that I found and I don't think has been mentioned. In the room with the water cooler, when you run into the wall to the right you are bounced back too far.

Keep working at it

So, this is a demo for a game that you plan to release later on? Well, that's what Alphas are for, no?
THE 1 STAR IS ONLY BECAUSE YOU SUBMITTED IT IN THE WRONG SECTION. I'll play the full game when it's out.

There's many issues and things to keep in mind:
**The "character" shouldn't be walking through/sitting on walls and obstacles.
**You should tell the gamer what the controls are. It may be sort of intuitive, but you still need to mention the arrow keys and clicking on objects for interaction. **Speaking of interaction, I shouldn't be able to work out of my desk. I could click on the desk from far and magically "work" and get money.
**Speaking of the working process, you should at least make a 3-second animation showing that he's working hard between the clicks. Do the same with the characters chatting and the answering machine.
**Tell me that you're adding a lil more detail to the "characters." Yea, I know we're looking at them from a 2-D point of view, but still it doesn't look very interesting.

I really can't get in depth (yea I know), because it's not the complete version yet. I hope that what I observed doesn't offend you or make you feel bad, because it takes balls, time, and lots of coffee to animate and script games. So, don't let me or anyone bring you down. Now I sound like Oprah :(
Good luck, man.

Author's Response:

oh, that doesnt offend me at all, i totally agree with you. And i will adress pretty much all the issues by the full release. and characters are mainly just a fun part of the gaim, no real purpose beside enteratianment. and i think I will add a 3+ second animation for different tasks. thanks.

"Please try again"

There is way too much wrong with this to keep this on the Portal. Let me sum it up.

1. The jump is glitchy. I can do an infinite jump if I keep tapping up.

Ok, that's minor, but we're just getting started.

2. The collision detection is sketchy at best. Half the time I jump on the platform, the character's feet either float above the platform, or sink half way through. The other half of the time, my character falls right through.

3. The character doesn't move with the platforms. This is fine and all for a horizontal platform, although it's still a glitch. But, at the end of level 3, I jumped on that black platform, and fell right through as it was coming back up.

That said, at least you're headed in the right direction. I like the challenge, I like the music for some reason, and the look on his face as he runs about is a nice touch.

Please try again. I'd like to see a finished version - platformers are one of the nest genres of gaming.

Author's Response:

1. just a demo- thus, many bugs! who would have known?
2. there is no jumping! its an overhead view, you move around as if you were viewing the top of his head.
3. the full version will be much better, rest assure.
