MASTERMIND: WORLD CONQUEROR - Manage your minions, defend your base, and conquer this puny planet ONCE AND FOR ALL!

*PRESS SPACE TO LOCK YOUR CAMERA VIEW!*

WARNING: For assistance in figuring out what to do next, click the Help button for options at the top of the game screen, or click the Question Mark buttons in each of your rooms for further explanation.

This is the first game I have ever developed from scratch and programmed myself on top of all game visuals, so I do truly hope you enjoy my six months of efforts in bringing you this game. It wouldn't have been the same without the unrivaled vocal talents of TomaMoto, as well as Andy Dennis, Egoraptor, Suzy (Egoraptor's better half), Tom Fulp, Rinachan, Afro-Ninja, Luis Prieto, Toonimated, and of course myself as the Mastermind ;) Who could forget that?

So go conquer the world already! GOOD LUCK, YOU'LL NEED IT.

*KNOWN ISSUES*

Infinite Attack Bug - Your base continues to flash "Under Attack" even though you've survived all attacking enemies. This prevents your game from saving and your units from healing. Currently, the only way to fix is to return to the menu and Continue from your previous checkpoint, or Evacuate your base for another (which, unfortunately, will lose the base you are evacuating, but at least your progress will be saved).

Turret No-Target Bug - A targetting glitch causes turrets to target enemies they cannot see, preventing them from attacking enemies that come close to them. This glitch resolves itself after you've cleared the checkpoint.

Tutorial Freeze - Should be fixed now. If not, starting a New Game will reset the tutorial for you.

Good Game...

This game would have been so m uch better if the glich i expirenced did not happen. The meeting screen would not go away. And it would keep playing the video over and over again. now i have tto start from scrach...AGAIN!

I wanted to give this game the best possible review. After all years ago I played it and it was awesome then. But I encountered a game breaking glitch before it even began. The tutorial has one pop up and after I click it nothing else happens. I tried starting again and still nothing. Eventually I reset the page and that didn't work. Every time I played I let the cut scene roll till it was done and it refused to work. If it were fixed I would gladly rewrite a review but as it stands it's unplayable.

Mastermind makes a superb series...

...but not a superb game. The animation is perfect, along with TomaMoto's voice acting which I can't get enough of, but god dammit if I wanted a game with a learning curve of 3 hours I wouldn't have come to newgrounds.

So skipping an in-depth review and giving an overall judgement. +10 for a good game. -6 for too much shit to learn.

Rate this review useless and call me a cynic.

The-Swain responds:

Technically, you only HAVE to steal cash + steal science all the way til the end of the game. The extras are totally optional, which is why the tutorial (a minute long ordeal at most) focuses only the mandatory basics.

I've beaten this game without having to so much as acknowledge the extras, but to each his own.

You should have seen this game BEFORE I made it comprehensive ;)

Stupid Infinte Attack Bug...

Wouldn't it be wiser to fix the bugs instead of just putting up a warning and never dealing with them? If the bugs were't there I would play this again, otherwise, what is the point? I do admit I didn't read about the bug until I had stolen all lvl 4 sciences, and had used up 5 of the bodyguard people. but you should maybe think about fixing them. I wouldn't advise playing it until they are, or if you're lucky enough to actually notice the problems occouring, which you might not. Found another bug for you though, when I used the guy who scares the enemies away, they were scared, sure, but for the rest of the game 7 or 8 of my minions were running after them, running out of the screen, until I called them back...I'm pretty sure they would never catch them. So yes, do something about the bugs and I'll consider giving you a good review and playing again someday...This should not have been put on the front page in my opinion

errr

well it seems so few will agree with me that this isn't a very good game
i dislike the popularity of the mastermind series but at least this one is alot better than the first game.
really it isn't a very bad game
but the load time just didn't make it worth it
mabye you should make the game less luck based

keep making good work
and i'll keep giving it a worse score than it deserves
