This is NOT Super Meat Boy!

Its simply the flash prototype that Super Meat Boy was based off of.
SMB, will play very differently and is 100% new.. what im saying is if you even slightly enjoy the prototype, you will LOVE SMB!

Oh god, where to begin...

Well first of all, I know you don't get paid to make these games(or do you? IDK), but that's no excuse. Seriously, did you even test the game at all? The difficulty curve is pretty insane. But the real problem with this game is the OVERALL difficulty. Your guy just moves too fast when he's airborne, you hold down the left or right key for half a second and he's already halfway across the screen, making precise jumps impossible for anyone who hasn't dedicated 100 hours of their life or more to the game. It basically comes down to timing how long you hold down a key to the nearest hundredth of a second. I mean that level in the salt factory with the 1-brick-wide platforms is fucking sadistic, man. It's not really THAT much of a problem, you can just skip it because it doesn't have a bandage to collect (well maybe it does actually, I never got far enough to know for sure cuz it's SO FUCKING HARD). But the level titled "Bipolar" is fucking bullshit, sorry. Even if you DO manage to get the bandage and then jump back out after 500 TRIES, you just get fucked by the unbelievably merciless hazards. My point is, you should get to keep bandages even if you die after getting them. So yeah I don't get what all these 10's are all about, I guess lots of blood and nasty little sound effects are worth a perfect score to some people and gameplay doesn't matter. Or maybe they're just giving high scores because you're Edmund McMillen, I don't know. Anyways, the neat little blood effects and unlockable characters have earned my 1/10, enjoy!

horrible controls

This game is VERY hard! Not becouse the levels, but becouse the awkward controls! The horrible control is what makes it nearly impossible! Meatboy slides instead of stopping after jump, he moves a lot by a slight push of the arrows, I can't jump small with him, and top of these sometimes he react correctly to my orders, sometimes he just ignores them!

Urgh

I tried really hard to like this game, but I can't.

The levels range from ridiculously easy to impossibly hard. While I enjoy difficulty in my games, frustration is not my idea of fun!

This game could've benefited from lengthy, horizontal levels with difficult parts spread throughout instead of having to do a series impossible jumps in a tiny map. Perhaps the jumps and landings would've been more enjoyable if the CONTROLS WEREN'T SO DAMN SENSITIVE. I push the arrow key and wind up flying across the screen... That's just terrible.

Also, no volume control? While I enjoy some of the music, I'd really like the choice to turn it off or at least lower the volume.

This game suffers from a lack of originality. It's a platform game without enemies, powerups, or puzzles. The only obstacles you have are projectiles and tiles that will instantly kill you...

All in all, I find this to be a frustratingly terrible game. Why it's being ported to the Wii is beyond me.

Back to coding

I have a very big problem with slippery controls in a game.

As others have mentioned before, though they have given generous ratings regardless, which I will not. The controls are unforgiving and as a result, My rating of this game will be unforgiving too.

Please take it back to programming, make the jump controls more appropriate, then update the game.

Short of doing all that, rated 1/10
