SMB, will play very differently and is 100% new.. what im saying is if you even slightly enjoy the prototype, you will LOVE SMB!

The missiles can hit you through blocks. What's the point of the level (somewhere near the end of the Hell world) where it shoots a barrage of missiles at you, if your cover (the blocks) only block the damage some of the time? I died way too many times because a missile exploded and got me THROUGH the block that was protecting me.
If you make a sequel, this is something that must be fixed.
Game has flaws.
I always die NEAR the fires, when I am not even touching them.
Apart from this MAJORLY frustrating glitch/bug, the game's cool!
But if you're impatient... You will ragequit on the first level.
Not great, there were many things that spoilt this for me, the loading times AFTER you die, everytime you die you have to wait 10 seconds or so, you die when not even touch some of the obstacles and on a particular level, it pissed me off so much as the black things with teeth that explode INSISTED on going through the platforms to kill me, the games hard and i enjoy a challenge, but when things like this happen it just ruins it, it's still a nice game though.
First, this game would be much better if you could mute the music. I love the soundtrack but it loops quickly and is badly compressed. Second, I think this is a pretty overrated game, it spawned another one which was amazing but it's clear that there were many improvements made. Even if this inspired the sequel, it's not very good. It's great to see that the controls were revamped but even so the game feels very bleak and devoid of substance compared to its successor. What I'm saying is that it's been improved in every way - but the original game is brutally difficult in the way that ISN'T appealing - you're fighting the controls. It's hard to time jumps when you always go a set amount that puts you in the way of timed obstacles.
To show how I feel this way - there is a level in which you must be able to slightly slide up a single block directly above you and jump at the perfect time - that's not a challenging yet rewarding experience, that's dumb.
