Its simply the flash prototype that Super Meat Boy was based off of.
SMB, will play very differently and is 100% new.. what im saying is if you even slightly enjoy the prototype, you will LOVE SMB!

At first I loved this game. I thought it was the greatest game on Newgrounds, the challenge kept me coming back to swear at it again and again until I beat every level.
But then I played other games, and realized this one is sorely lacking something. The obstacles are devious yet bland, either some sort of lava like object, a saw, a missile, or a steadily firing gun. That's it. Where's the creativity? But that really didn't bother me to much, as the variety of levels was enough.
But the controls are just horrible. They are freaking terrible. I don't care what the reason is, there is no excuse for hair-trigger spastic controls that sometimes make it feel like you're trying to control meat boy with 4 foot chopsticks. Some say this is what makes it "difficult." I feel this is a poor reason. There are other much much more difficult games that I'll play for much longer, that don't have spastic controls. For example, I Wanna Be The Guy is famous for being incredibly hard, but the controls are streamlined and responsive, and with practice anyone can use them with ease. This game lacks that, no matter how much you practice there is still the difficulty of getting Meat Boy to just do what you damn want.
I really hope your Wii game has tighter or more intuitive controls. This game would be 100 times better without the slippery spastic controls.
the controls on this are all messed up, when i try to wall jump i jump down instead of up, i only jump the way i want to 1/3 of the time, the other 2/3 i either wont jump or go straight up. good graphics, good sfx, the screwy controls were the only thing that brought it down.

I think he/she has an incredibly valid point: the only reason this game is so difficult is because meat boy controls like, well, meat. Actually, he controls like shit-and there's no fucking reason he should!
I'm sick of fanboys downgrading low reviews without even looking at them. Just because someone doesn't like the game doesn't make their opinion any less valid.
I agree that this game is pretty fun, but the controls just ruined it for me. I wouldn't call this a complete tragedy on the part of Team Mic, however I would compare it to the very thing its based on; i.e. its like a good piece of meat ruined by some fat that nobody cut-off. Seriously, what's the fun in wall-jumping when its so goddamn erratic?
