This is NOT Super Meat Boy!

Its simply the flash prototype that Super Meat Boy was based off of.
SMB, will play very differently and is 100% new.. what im saying is if you even slightly enjoy the prototype, you will LOVE SMB!

Good, but nothing special

It's a decent game of it's type, but the graphics are pretty bad, and the controls feel really gummy. I always end up over or under-shotting when I want to jump to, which leads to frustration early and often. It's possible that that's buy design, but if it is, then it's bad design. You should build difficulty by making intricate and clever levels, not by making it hard to tell the game exactly how high and far you want to jump.

The graphics were bad, but I can't tell if they're bad on purpose, or if they were great-looking pixel art that's just being stretched too far in one direction.

The level editor is nice.

good not great.

fun, but the controls were more "difficult" than any level.
quicker respawns would be nice.

Slippy Slidey

It was really hard, I got to the end of the factory and gave up. Was fun for awhile though, the controls are so damn sensitive though

Not Bad - but frustrating

Controls!! or lack of control... left/right waaaay to touchy, I could jump straight up and then pressing sideways would throw me way across the level, like some special gravity control. So - good game, bad physics is the only reason it may prove difficult.

Could've been awesome

You basically admit in game that the levels are designed to be frustratingly difficult via adding the level skipping option, when in reality sloppy controls aren't adding challenge to the game, they're just making it unfun. At the very least controling yourself midjump needs to be improved. It almost always over or undershoots, making the later levels unplayable and unenjoyable. BOO :) Other than that, loved it. Great graphics, nice music. An easy mute button would've been nice. Fun story. Congrats on a nice game.
