This is NOT Super Meat Boy!

Its simply the flash prototype that Super Meat Boy was based off of.
SMB, will play very differently and is 100% new.. what im saying is if you even slightly enjoy the prototype, you will LOVE SMB!

really good

But there were a few minor problems. The controls were kind of slick, like sliding on ice. Also the loading was annoying. That and the little things that you can pick up were never explained, or else i just didnt play that level. Other that that though a solid game.

dude...so awesome

the cutscenes were hilarious and awesome movies within themselves...there were so many levels! controls were so simple, and yet so engaging along with the environment...using the keyboard arrows + spacebar wasn't too hard...plus secrets! liked the 3/5 allowance for those who don't necessarily kill themselves over beating every stage...good game music selection too

Most frustrating game I've played in years!

This is a good thing though. I will not kid anyone about to play this, Meat Boy is hard. You will die a LOT. This doesn't detract from the fun though. Just watching Meat Boy die is a gratifying experience (how doth he die? Let me count the ways). This game is pure platforming bliss. No platforms move, but some disappear after being stepped on and others are only passable for short periods. Some levels scroll vertically, giving the level an imposed time limit. All the while Meat Boy must dodge various missiles, bullets, saw blades and salt/lava "waterfalls" in order to rescue his girlfriend, Band-aid Girl, from the evil Dr. Fetus. Factor in the 30 band-aids that Meat Boy must gather to unlock the game's secret characters (and other surprises) as well as a level editor and you have hours of enjoyment.

To the Authors: Meat Boy is great! The level design is incredibly challenging and provided more continuous play value and challenge than many console games (*cough*Force Unleashed*cough*). The music was great (though the hell level music started to grate after 50 trys of a particular stage). Just a couple of things. I encountered a glitch after aquiring my last band-aid. I had been playing as Dr. Fetus, and had already completed the main campaign, but after the screen that displayed the "You've unlocked a secret" and I pressed esc the game seemed to hang a bit. Luckily esc could apparantly "pause" during this screen and I was able to return to the level select screen. The game worked normally after that. The other thing is...

Come on, Domo-Kun was a shoe-in as a secret character for this game!

Great game anyways though!
