This is NOT Super Meat Boy!
Its simply the flash prototype that Super Meat Boy was based off of.
SMB, will play very differently and is 100% new.. what im saying is if you even slightly enjoy the prototype, you will LOVE SMB!

Fun, but OMG is it hard
Now let me get this perfectly straight to all of you people who love Meat Boy and are probably going to download Super Meat Boy on WiiWare, I like this game, its a fun game to play every now and then, but I have quite a few problems with it.
The control is my only problem with this game, the game is playable, and it is challenging, just because a game is hard, doesn't mean it's bad. My problem is that the controls feel slippery because Meat Boy moves so God Damn fast. I should probably be playing this game on a slower computer. I find it really easy to overshoot a jump on a small platform, and it feels stiff trying to wall jump, since jump is not up, I feel that if you are going to make a platforming flash game using a keyboard, jump should be on the up key, its not like I'm using a D-Pad or anything to play this game, instead it's the spacebar.
Great game with great levels and great music, but I'm not very fond of the controls.
Hardcore, gaming, with zany, gory fun!
This is a good game, a very good game and the diffucilty dosen't stop it being amazing in every sense. The gameplay is intense, the story is, well thought and the flash graphics are very good. The music is OK, just a little repetitive. But its about the gameplay and if your looking for a super hard platformer look no further. I also here that Meat Boy may be leaping onto Wii Ware. I look foreward to it!
Oh, shut up you.
To the guy below me, don't complain about it being too hard when the game warned you it would be hard. The floaty physics are perfectly suited to this game, and it's a test in player skill, timing and reflexes, which is why games like this are known as "skill platformers". A certain degree of finesse and skill is required to play this game, and as a difficult game I find myself enjoying more than most big-name platformers.
The graphics are nice and minimalistic, but it's easy to tell the difference between a platform that disappears and a normal one. The physics and controls are perfectly weighted, so any deaths that occur are all down to the player and their ham-handedness. The little music loop in the background is funky too.
All in all, one of the most addictive and well-executed titles I've found on this site. This seems like the kind of game that could convert veggies back to the natural order. Just let them play it for half an hour, before saying something along the lines of "See how much fun you're having? You can't do that with a piece of broccoli, that's for sure!"
Bring a buddy.
