"Karoshi" is a Japanese word and means "death by overwork". In this game many things are not what you'd expect and the goal of each level is counter-intuitive: you need to die.

Each stage presents a new challenge. There are several objects you can use to solve puzzles, and in later levels the game will even break it's own rules to surprise you.

50 clever levels and a boss fight at the end. We hope you have fun (killing yourself)!

If you have played the Game Maker version, YES this is an official Flash version!

I love Karoshi...

I have been a fan of Karoshi since the exe versions , I love Karoshi 2 / Karoshi 1 / Karoshi 1 Speed Run , love the different ways you make us to think , love the levels , love the creativity , love the fun...

When I saw the main character from Karoshi on Newgrounds Featured Flashs, I said WTF?!?!
Maybe they converted the Karoshi game to Flash? Then I saw it was a new game ^^. Very well done , I can see many levels that use the same way of thinking as the ones in Karoshi 1 / 2 , also some identical levels.

For all those guys that liked Karoshi Flash , I am sure you will like Karoshi 1 and 2 , its free to download and is on many "indie games / free games" sites and is as good or better than this one ^^.

very fun

Very fun... though i wish the crazy levels with the mouse clicks and trippy "think outside the box" theme started earlier.

sweet

definately worth a 10/10, i'd probably give more if i could, if you were to make a sequel, a level editor would be an awesome idea, like one of those levels you threw at us, and the i like mouse was fun. also, if there actually is a sequel make the hints a little less obvious, i found it on the easier side because of obvious hints, and...uhh, let's just say a few glitched safes (it the plural safes?) helped me through a few tricky ones...i expect more, and a level editor! n_n
