The City Needs You!

Tractor Sharks roam the streets, Taco Right's Activists have shut down the Taco Mine, and you're clearly going crazy. Nevertheless, the city must be saved, and you're just the sort of Superhero they need.

Pointless In Action is an turn based rpg in which you battle the forces of stupid. Defeat enemies to gain xp, loot, and explore the map. Maps are randomly generated for each player and are revealed as you kill each enemy. Perform "heroic" deeds to gain more ego.

Some hints:
-All weapons deal splatter damage which deals damage to enemies colors randomly
-Skills deal one type of colored damage.
-1 point of red (stupid) damage to an enemy = you gain 1 point of red/stupid juice (basically mana)
-The skill background colors indicate the color of juice it uses
-Enemies will split up in multiple colors once you're level 2. Each split attacks separately while it has color remaining.

make a character, cant go any further. Make a character, cant go any further. The game keeps freezing on the character creation screen. From what I have seen so far im not convinced.

Unique

But a bit too overwhelming for me. It's fun though and has charm, maybe I'll give it another shot later. Right now I had trouble getting into it, just not quite classic RPGness for me, like snes rpgs are. I like the color health thing though. Well, enough, you get a thumbs up from me.

question:

how do we get ego? its been a day i think since i play this game, and my ego still remains at 0, is there a way to get them back? Thanks

This game is just like kingdom of Loathing, with its own set of quirky characters :D, still at shopping mall, so can't type much, but from what i have seen, i am impressed, the music fitted right in with the game, so its more entertaining.

Cheers with episode 2 =D

Ezin responds:

Ego was changed so that combat don't require it and you don't get it from new days, only by performing "heroic deeds". There's a notice displayed when you select a character to play, however I messed up and should have made it display before you select the character. My bad.

The game is definitely inspired by Kingdom of Loathing though. I played way too much of that game.
