EDIT IMPORTANT!: This WAS TommyVF's idea first. I was just inspired to make this while he was still in production. Sorry for any confusion made!

EDIT: Daily 6th! Weekly 15th!

Due to the demands of an unnamed user, *cough* MarcyVF *cough* I had to release something cool soon.
Well, I complied to the deal and THIS came.

The Nothing In My Way Collaboration!

That's right! It's a collaborative effort between Mexifry895 and Night-Mare to make a music video of EPIC proportions.
It's to the song Nothing In My Way by Keane.

Now for some specs:
It took EXACTLY ONE MONTH to make. (pretty good timing)
184 Symbols
5000+ Frames
2 Authors
24 Frames Per Second.
Run time: About 3:40

Well I hope you enjoy this video!
(Vote. Review. Enjoy!)

Oh, yeah... There's an Easter Egg!

Very good

Excellent collab

Great visual experience. Great use of different styles. And you can really appreciate both of your styles, which are both cool. Great work.

I really liked the song choice, and nice synching to it too. Loved the credit's song to. Very fun and up tempo.

Overall it was quite good. The start was a bit slow but it's all good after that. The easter egg was genius too. Great work overall :D

pretty good

Visuals: fairly well done, some parts looked as if you had zoomed in on them as you could clearly see the pixels, the black and white theme went well with the song as did the dubbing

Audio: just a straight song, and a good one at that

Overall: your animation could improve some, but it's pretty good where it stands now, the song and video had corresponding themes, depressing, and the video definitely adds a lot to this song, great work

I actually made it pixelly on purpose to give it a nicee touch. :P

Another Review? Awesome!

it was pretty good

Good anmation in a lot of the parts. Most of them actually.
But you kind of overused blur and it got kind of annoying. but yeah, great animation guys.
8/10 4/5

Mexifry responds:

Yeah the blur effect was overused.
But hey, Thanks for the review!

Not bad

A few pieces of the animation weren't quite up to the standard that I would hope for in a collab, but it's certainly a credible animation.

I'm not particularly a fan of the song, but I feel that it's certainly been tkaen somewhere by the addition of the music video. Perhaps a few more parts could have been produced in colour, as it would make the proceedings less boring and bring a certain vibrancy to them. I know that the song isn't exactly 'Walking on Sunshine', but it could do with a little more happiness, as that is present in the song.

Mexifry responds:

No one I have seen has done this song as a music video.
Yeah, this video is a little quirky of a set up.
Happiness, I was hoping all the parts would be black and white to fit a theme.

Oh well, NG isn't interested in my emo music videos. :P

Thanks for the review!

something in your way

a very nicely done music vid, EXCEPT for the animation. the animation was sloppy and the dubbing was off, but overall, well represented, was funny, good music, and good replay

gotta work on that art

Mexifry responds:

Dubbing was off?
I triple checked the dubbing and it was fine.
The animation was sloppy?
Some parts were, but I mean it wasn't awful.

Thanks for the review anyways. :D
