You could make a male & female character. Also, give them some different hairstyles, as well. Also, maybe the addition of accessories, like wristbands, jewelry, tattoos, and other stuff like that. Also, I think each part of the face should have a separate option, one for the mouth, eyes, and nose, perhaps. Also, I think you should be able to choose a skin color. (even fictional ones, like blue, green purple, etc.) Good idea, I'd like to see how it turns out when it's finished.

Female characters will be a bit hard, maybe I'll make a seperate game for that in the future. Skincolour and most of the other stuff you mentioned already crossed my mind and will probably be put in, but the tattoos are a really good idea, didn't think of that.
