Defeat the enormous mechanical beasts--and become one of them.
4.02 / 5.00 46,164 ViewsThe sequel is now up on Newgrounds - you can check it out by selecting the 'also by this author' in the bottom left.
A brand new version of the card game The Necronomicon, with a new game mode, and full of new art drawn up by various contributors. There are now 30 ranks to beat, and the game ends when either you get to 30 before your opponent, or they beat you up to rank 30.
Bug fixes, game changes and tweaks, and a whole new game mode called Challenge Mode. Defeat the opponent in a series of scenarios where the odds are stacked against you.
Also includes some rule changes and creatures now have additional abilities.
** NEW - . - MASSIVE update to how the cards are dealt out. Basically what happens now in the fix is that you both have a deck of whatever amount of cards are unlocked, and each card will be seen once by each of you. There will be no duplicate cards appearing until your deck has been exhausted and shuffled, and so the only dups you will see are the cards you held from the previous shuffle. Makes everything much more balanced.

This was actually pretty good...
It kept me hooked, for sure. And I´m a pretty diehard fan of the whole Lovecraftian thing, so I understood most of the cards.
Things had certainly improved from the last one, Taint raping is now possible without Megalomania, the new cards look smashing, and Challenge mode is a nice addition.
Although sadly, the fights tend to go a bit slow at times when you can´t draw a damage card. Or when you´re schizophrenic and only have summon cards at hand.
But then, you´re playing a very well made Lovecraftian(-ish) card game, so that´s forgiven. :D/-K

You have the ability ot make this an execelent gam
In all honesty I couldn't give this a 10 our of 10 for the fact the game still leaves some things to be desired.
Now I have played (excuse the language) shit out of the first one because I am a card game nerd/geek/whateveryouwanttocallit and the thought of having a new game to play that was dark (I like dark games peroid ect. Silent Hill, Resident Evil ect.)was just a wonderful feeling and dark.
As before I like the way you incorporated the feeling of differnt card games, Magic, YuGiOh, Naurato and many others wither or not you tried to do this I still loved the game and concept in general.
Now as stated in the post (or given that I am writing a lot a few posts) before me it may take a lot of code but to have the ability to modify your deck and choose what cards you have would greatly make the experience people have of your game a great one.
Also I know it is very challenging ( I have tried before with several existing games) to create from scratch cards that are balanced enough to put into the game but if you could double or hell even triple the number of cards you have (or could have in your deck) you might even have a card game that might have enough backing to get published. Which in itself is reason enough to try to see if you could get Upper Deck to look into.
But getting back to topic at hand you have a potiental(sp) winner in your hands. Bottom line you are doing a fantastic job with artwork, game play mechanics and so on....but you need, More cards, Deck editing, and multi player with minimal bugs and you have a game that could be on the x-box live arcade on sell for 400-800 Microsoft points aka 5-10 bucks.
But with the crit out of the way you are doing a good job and keep working hard but like I said this game still leaves some to be desired....

Awesome
Whenever I have extra time or are just plain bored, I can often find myself playing this game. Resently came to level 17. ^.^ - Sometimes though, it can be quite annoying that the opponent gets about 5 healing cards and you get little to none. Can be improved, but I heard you were working on a third.. or so I think I read somewhere along the comments. - Anyway, keep 'em coming!
