The Rise of a KING takes a turn to the role playing genre, but still retains the action from its predecessor. If you havent played The Rise of a Knight, then there is a "Story so Far" section where you can watch a slideshow of what happened in the first game.
Explore the world in and around Stormguard Castle as you start off on your first day as a Knight. Times are getting dark with the current king and many others behaving strangely while more and more dangerous creatures appear, causing trouble all over the kingdom. You seem to be the only one to see the obvious corruption, and its up to you to dissolve this matter...

oks a great game
but make a mute button. that's worst than not being able to pause your game.
Yeah I've started implementing mute buttons in all my games after this one :)

Pretty good
To me overall the game itself is really good.
I just got a tiny bit pissed off when I saved then tried loading the game the next day. It didn't load. I even got the knight armor and kings sword.
But thats my problem not yours, anyways really good game.
Thanks!
This is the first time I've made a save feature, but it always saves my games for me wether I'm playing on the internet or on my computer. Maybe you cleared your cookies? Or maybe you tried to load it from the different computer or a different website?

Glad to hear you like this game of mine :)

This game is... OK.
I liked the overall plot, but there are several thing that you could improve if ever you make a third game in this series.
The game lags when you attack while moving.
The missions should be spaced closer together.
As you said in the game description, The caps lock thing.
The fact that you can only restart from a save point.
This last one was the one that annoyed me most, because i died while fighting lord fenlon, then found out I had to go and kill a cave troll. Again.
Other than those reasons, I find the game was very well thought out.
This is why I gave this game a 3/5 and a 7/10.
Oh, and the fact that you gave an explaination for new players was a fantastic idea. I wish more game would do that.
(I'm looking at you, Several Journeys of Reemus.)
Thanks for the review!
The reason why the game lags for you is that your computer is too slow for the graphics. You can toggle the quality with T. The missions were quite far apart and I should have made locations much closer to each other. I thought all the travelling would give it an epic feel, but I was clearly wrong, it's just frustrating.
I have to say that it's not my fault you forgot to save your game. I mean, the cave troll is literally the first mission you get from the king, so you never saved at all. I agree that it would be much better if there were more save points... this was the first time I've ever made a game where you can actually save your progress, so yeah. I think I've improved on that with my later games.
Glad you enjoyed my game :)
