Knight of the Dead is a side-scrolling hack and slash fest where the player takes the role of of a Knight who must defend himself against a horde of attacking zombies.
Enemies drop money which can be used between levels to purchase weapon upgrades, health or to repair their shield.
Good game... a bit repetitive but fun. Not sure how the loot system works but I ended with like, $5000 extra... could use some more items or something I guess.
It ran smooth on high quality for a bit, then around level 7 it started to lag up so I dropped to low qual and by the end of the game I was again starting to notice it slow down. (And I'm on a next gen, sli machine)
The only real problem I had with it was the ending. I know in order to have an end it'd need a plot, but it could e something as cliche as a picture of your knight on top of a massive pile of zombies or something saying you saved the day... or saved your kingdom... or just something other than... "GAME OVER"
"Game Over" feels like you lost... "The End" with some sort of triumphant picture would feel more appropriate.
In any case, I enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.
ehhh it was fun exept for the times wen the zomibes gathered up and did a continues atk thing and my shiel bast couldnt reach then
It was alright...
But there is one minor complaint.
In the later levels, when there are more zombies, the game would slow down a lot, even stopping at some points. I would suggest making it so bodies disappear, instead of just staying there.
There's Some Things You Must Work Out.
First of all, implement smooth consecutive strikes to your knight's blows. I have a problem with how the knights' strikes are stiff. Next, there other things like how the weapons dissapointed me. I expected the Devastator, the most powerful and long ranged weapon in the game to just take 'em out in one hit. But no, It still only takes 'em out with two hits which is no better the sword before it(but at least better then the first blade mind you). I guess it has a better range, but still I expected a lot more. The block move should have been more effective too. So, I get all the powerups within the middle of the game, and I wait and wait and wait and about 5 levels later what do I get? A game over screen. Not an ending pic or not even a mere "congratulation". Just a game over screen, same kind you get if you die, only it is more interesting when you die because at least you see a death animation and you don't have to wait through meandering levels until around level 11 to see it.
this flash is nothing but a remake of a previous game its very old dont remeber name. but whole point is this is almost exactly to the game im talkn bout not a very good remake either,
