Great!

0.99.3 brought some nice new changes, although not as much as I had hoped, but still, I find the StarType memory gizmo really useful. My favorite update is the Shield Generator Star. The Shield Generator Star can take out d-boats, so add that with the fact that the shield won't destroy your own ships, Defence Stars can be much more easily taken out. And Shield Generator Stars can be used another way as well, by rushing into the enemy base and quickly turning three or two of their stars into Shield Generators. They protect each other and can easily hold their own, and since they don't destroy your own ships, you can use those Shield Generator Stars as another point of attack.

used to be....

Used to be better before 0.99.3. It seems the shield generator is just odd. Without the double effect, as had the minelayer, it seems a bit overpowered. And as previously stated, it does look like you just have a normal star selected.

0.99.3

i agree with HOOZ, the mine layer should come back. the sheild genorator seems to just be a slightly larger defence star, and seems unneccisary overall. the fact that the minelayer distroys your ships as well is anoying, but its part of the strategy of the game.

also, it is to difficult to tell the difference bettween sheild generators and standard stars

Great Game

Great game, I've been playing for about a month now. Version .99.3 seems to have the AI far too aggressive/difficult as opposed to previous iterations and is it just me, or does the AI get started much faster than we do? The visuals also seem buggy as the AI has one to two ghost-like sets of ships circling non-existent stars. They don't impact gameplay, but are distracting.

The switch from minelayer to shield... I don't like it so far. I sometimes wouldn't use a minlayer and at most I'd use two, but they were a great way to quickly gain territory while also preventing the AI's advance - especially if they had a pesky naval star hurling ships at me non-stop. I'd really prefer seeing the minelayer return to the fray - in addition to the shield generator perhaps?

Awesome

I absolutely love this game, the only thing that annoys me is the bugs. The most annoying of all is the glitch that makes your ships dissapear. half my fleet just vanished. I tried everything to get them back because they were still appearing in my ship numbers. So i tried Turning all my stars into defence stars bringing my economy down to zero, this did not work and the ships remained in my numbers. This is a great game but seriously fix that bug.

Sorry about that...
