This flash is a simple fight between Ryu and Sean with underlying tones of DBZ...you'll notice that as soon as you hit the play button. Basically did this short to better my fighting choreography. If your looking for something more story driven you can watch SF Series Episode 1... the url is http://www.newgrounds.com /portal/view/446672 (remove spaces if necessary)

Stay after the credits to see what the next fight will be...

Special thanks to HugoSimpson...

P.S.
If you didn't stay through the credits, and you're interested in making this kinda of stuff or hand drawn flash join Aspect Production... the url is http://z4.invisionfree.co m/Aspect_Productions

"A nice fight scene."

date: July 27, 2008

Graphics: 85/100
By far the best graphics I have seen from you. The explosions where a nice touch. However, during one fight scene when you had the characters turn invisible do to how fast they were moving (at least that is what I am guessing). It might have helped to still keep those explosions in it to show they where still fighting. I first thought that you where doing some panning to the fight.

Audio: 100/100
Good quality sound and sound effects.

Storyline: 20/200
No storyline, however you said that it was mainly just a fight scene. Also, there was very little innovation in the fight scene itself

Replay Value: 75/100
It was a really interesting fight to watch. I did not find any Easter eggs or like extra stuff. You know what you might want to do since you seem like you now want to help others do sprite animations. Is do a commentary for your movies.

Overall score: 280/500 = 56/100
Gave you a 4/5 on the submission vote.

I liked the fight scene itself, however that is all it was so I could not give you a good overall review. You did warn people about this before hand so I still gave you a good score on the submission vote. And I am looking forward to watching SF Series.

"Looks a little unpolished."

date: July 12, 2008

It was a good flash, and I liked it, but it did definitely highlight the main reason everyone hates sprite flashes: it looked lazily animated. Another thing that bothered me was that it looked like a couple of noobs were going at it. They barely even tried to block and a lot of times they just let the other guy hit them. Try recording a good, close match of Street Fighter and try to make it look a little like that, except MORE epic since you aren't limited by game mechanics.

Also, "Sprite Credits: MUGEN" is very, very vague. Mugen is a community-creation-based fighting game, and thus the sprites can be made or ripped by anyone. You have to give names! From the looks of it you got the sprites for Ryu from Phantom of the Server (PotS)'s character. It is EXTREMELY important that you give names though, because those sprites might have been used by more than one person, trying to make a different version of Ryu.
