"You did express yourself well"

date: July 12, 2008

This is exellant for you first animation and for music video, great. The whole piece is a good effort.

Graphics.7/10 The back and white is clever, and i was very impressed. By the movents on the singer ,it moved in time to the lyrics. The looks is quite basic but i thought, the way you drew, them was sweet and appealing.

Sound.8/10 The song sounded great and memorable ,i liked the help me words at the end. The use of options to have subtitles is great, i liked the subtitles well. The look of him singing, sound good on the whole the sound is very good.

This is a good music video fun and the people, looked sweet and appealing which is a plus. The lip syching is great to the words, on the whole.

Somtimes he did not seem to sing in time, with the words and the scenes did repeat themselves. I liked the no colors, but maybe some color would have been nice.

Overeall a good music video to the Beatles hit.

"You'll get there!"

This is a great first attempt at a movie and you can't really go wrong with the technique of a music video - the music is there, you just concentrate on expressing yourself as an individual.

Expressing yourself is exactly why I'm not going to lay into you for going black and white. Leave it as it is, it's a good look at the tune itself. I would suggest that you spend some time looking at the lip-sync aspects - try singing the parts that you are going to lip sync in front of a mirror, so you can see how your own mouth forms the words.

I'm not exactly sure about the cupping of the hands around the mouths of the lean ins in the middle - I am aware of the shout for help might require cupped hands, but the rest is backing singing.

I'd also tell that you're not a guitar player - you had the guitarist's hands going the wrong way up and down the neck of the guitar. Up the neck (screen left) for lower notes, down the neck (screen right) for higher notes ;)

I'm looking forward to your next piece.

"First Submission eh?"

date: July 10, 2008

A very great first submission if I do say so myself. Although I've never listened the to Beatles :/ I really liked how you made this music video. The animation was pretty good. I liked how you could listen with or without subtitles. The music was nice and clear, too. Great job man.

Suggestions: The "spatla hands" kinda started annoying me a little. Maybe you could draw a very basic hand instead. And if you could include some form of color, whether it be background or clothes, in your next flashes that would be kool, too.

P.S. I'm learning flash too and my first won't be that great :/

"Good Start"

date: July 10, 2008

Well it's a good start, I will say that but it is lacking quite a bit too, the idea and the base for everything is there, which is good, though you might want his arms to be at his side when he's not using them as oppost to being at an angle. Much of the animation is pretty okay, some parts could be better but nothing too bad in that sense and the music is easy to hear.

I would suggest having some backgrounds and even colour or just have shades of black/grey/white if you want to do it that way. Like I say, it's a start and it seems like there is a base here, but you could do so much more to make it look better. The subtitles are okay but they could be improved too, just have a grey bar along the bottom at something like 50% Opacity and put the text over that.

"I Like :)"

date: July 9, 2008

This was pretty neat. I've always wanted to take a song I love and turn it into a music video in flash, I really like the idea.
The graphics were very simple, but that's not a bad thing. I think it looked better with the simplistic, black and white look, opposed to being really fancy. It compliments the classic-ness of the song quite well.
The fact that you repeated the scenes in your movie made sense because the song obviously repeats. (As most songs do). :P But another idea would be to make it more of a story that progresses throughout the course of the song to a conclusion.
My only criticism for this is the animation of the mouth could have been a little better. The option of subtitles was a good idea, but since the character is singing along with the song, I'd think it important to make sure it looks like he's forming the exact words that are being sung.
Overall it is a good idea, though, I enjoyed watching.
