First off, if you don't like math (who does?) then this flash maybe for you...or not. Well this flash is about Taiko's failure and success at math...I had a little trouble with the audio at first, but got it fixed (thanks Jack!). Other than that, this flash was made in about 5 hours. This is my 4th flash being submitted to NG's (huzzah!) and it's also my longest flash (a whooping 2 minutes!). Hope you liked this flash; I have a sequel in mind, involving the "expand the variables" joke.

How did I think of this flash? Well at first I was taking a break from studying math, and I was messing around with the flash program I had. Then my mom came over and said, "What are you doing, you're supposed to be studying". So I quickly wrote a math question (the one in this flash) on the flash and said, "I am studying...". Then a thought hit me. "Why not make a flash about math?" As nerdy as that sounds, that's how this flash came about. Hope you enjoyed it!

P.S. No preloader...sorry!
P.S.S. The music from this flash is from "The Cat Returns" or "Neko no Ongaeshi" from Ghibli Studios (people who made My Neighbor Totoro, Princess Mononoke, Howl's Moving Castle, Spirited Away etc.). It's a charming movie ^^ I've extracted the track from the OST I bought from this movie to put into this flash. Hope it fit the flash!
P.S.S.S. Don't flame this flash just because you don't like math ^^' (Thanks for the icon Jack!)

Edit: A couple of people have pointed out to me that my math was wrong XD Does that not just show how bad I am at math. Other than that, I just hope that you can overlook the math mistake and judge upon how I made the flash ^^'

Improvment!

Well done! A certain improvment in your animating! Nice work on producing a new type of work that continued your wonderful style! Keep going! =D

SaikoTaiko responds:

Thank you -^^-! I'm glad you see improvement. Although half of the flash was text animation.

nice

i quite enjoyed that, the first joke made me laugh. as for the math, while your solutions are correct, provided that you were given that 'x' or 'y' is equal to zero, the initial answer to the problem would be that x=2 and y=3 (since your first asked to find x and y, without knowing what either are), which would be 3(2)+2(3)=12 ==> 6+6=12. i think thats why most people dont like algebra, too many variants for solutions, all of which is dependent on what information you are given. good work though, hoping to see more from you, whether it be math related or not.
