Finally, after a lot of work, I bring you yet another flash game.

Inspired by various horror themed video games, Deadly Investigation is a short, seen-from-above,
semi-3d adventure/action game, where you play as a detective searching for a lost colleague.

And as usual, any feedback and ideas for new games will be most appreciated.

Enjoy!

Edit: Okay, I have addressed some issues that alot of people commented on, thanks by the way.

- lights added to all the doors
- slightly faster turning rate
- releasing the action button won't make you stop reloading anymore
- Contrast setting has been improved

"GRAH!!!!!"

Why is there no checkpoints? One place that would make a great checkpoint is when you first see a monster. However, I haven't been able to finish it, so I wouldn't know where else you could have them. If you don't know how to make save points, at least make a level password or something. This game really needs it. Do you know why? The weapon controls suck my aft end. Seriously. You shouldn't have to press z then x to use a weapon! Just use x! That's what killed me, I swear to god! And I really don't feel like going back through. The graphics are awesome, the story is good, but those two flaws simply kill the game.

IT's really good...amazing storyline. But the controls for attacking annoy me so much! Please make a sequel and add save options too. Thanks

I like this game quite a bit, so story so fars not bad and an improved sequel would be good. i think it needs some form of save option or continue from eg: the last wing you were in. a menu would be useful as well. so far ive got to patricks room, but i dont have a clue what to do with the numbers on the memo to get into the locker, any hints?

"Suggestions and questions..."

date: July 10, 2008

I find this to be a rather interesting game. I do have some criticisms, but I will offer suggestions as well.

1. I know someone else mentioned this, but it might be a good idea to have the ability to review the controls.

2.Stemming from #1: Is there a map? If there is, how to you access it?

3. I know some people, including myself, want a save feature. If checkpoints cannot be done, how about save points?

That's all I have for now. I admit I haven't completed this game, but what I have seen is good.

Do you really want suggestions for games? I have three ideas that might make good flash games.

Two are suited for side-scrolling gameplay, but they both have an unusual element of play to them. Doing them depends a lot on your programming skills.

The last one is suited to the over-the-top perspective featured in Deadly Investigations, but it has it's own difficulties.

The first is that the game would need to be quite large or come in seperate parts.

The second is to have talking and interrogation between characters like in old adventure games.

The third is the inclusion of multiple characters, though only one can be active at a time.

The fourth is that this game is based off a story I came up with and depends greatly on my input. The story relates greatly to the puzzles in the game, and would ask the players think differently than they normally would.

If you are interested in these ideas, please send me a note. If not, then that's okay.

At least I know you can make great games.
