WARNING: If you happen to be playing Link's Awakening for the first time and do not wish to get spoiled. Then I suggest you wait before watching this. If you don't care about that, then go ahead and enjoy. :)

Alright, I remade the ending scene to Link's Awakening. I used Fuity Loops to upgrade the midi version of the songs, and enhanced all the sprites used in that scene. (Basically just adding more colors and editing them. Which was at the most, annoying.) Though animating it to try and mimic the GB/C version's ending as close as possible. Was the hardest to do. Since the GB version runs on 60 fps. While my version is about half as fast. But that's only one of the reasons.

And if your wondering why I made this, it's because it was my most favorite Zelda game, next to Majora's Mask. And I've always wanted to know what the ending scene would look like if it was on the Advance system or the DS.

I just hope you enjoy it.

NOTES:

This ending is the original version, not the perfect ending.

I set up the credits song at the end not to loop incase anyone decides to bring that up. Because it didn't loop in the game.

CREDITS: Many/All of the sprites and backgrounds were ripped by myself, Sypher (AP). Since the place where I got the sheet from had hardly anything I needed. The enhanced version of the sprites were also done by me.

The midi upgrades were done by me, I did not create the midi's though. You can find them by going to VGmusic.

If I forgot anything, I'll update the commentary.

UPDATE: Just a reminder to the guy who said I stole this flash. (lol) You can find images of my FLA. file opened if you go to VGLan.com and look for my LA Ending Thread in the Sypher Productions Board. (On the first post.)

"Almost perfect"

Easily my favorite Zelda game, and the one I've replayed the most. Thanks for making this excellent version.

I do have a gripe, though. It's the instrument selection you used. While the music itself sounds good, it just doesn't match very well to the original version in my opinion. The lead instrument likely should have been a flute rather than a synth violin, though this is probably just my opinion on the matter.

Still, awesome remix for an awesome game. 9/10 rating, voted 5.

Author's Response:

Originally when I was going through the instrument selection, I did check some of the flutes, but they didn't really sound anything like I wanted them too. If you know what I mean.

Anyway, thanks a lot. : )

it looks pretty damn close to the GB version, even though you wanted to make it seem for the Advance or whatnot. giving you a 3 for doing it and also for redoing the ending theme. nice try though.

Author's Response:

I think you misunderstood the meaning of this flash.

I wanted to keep this as close to the GB/C version's ending as possible. While making it visually better. Don't you think Nintendo would try to keep it as close as possible to the original GB/C version, if by some chance they remade that game?

If I changed parts of the ending, it wouldn't be considered a remake. But just simply my own version of the ending.

Which isn't want I wanted.

I remember finally finishing that game... It was epic.

You just reawakened my memories of a brilliant game with brilliant music.
I thank thee for that.
Good luck with all else!

I do have a question. Does the whale accidently land on link? or is the whale laughing at him before swimming away?

But seriously, cool work.

*Recommends for Zelda collection*

I haven't played the game myself. But I wouldn't be surprised if the real thing looked like this.
