After 4 months of hard labor in animation class, here is the NewGrounds Edition of our final project, Velvet Meadow.
Storyline: A group of friends is having a party for their friend Joe, who is going away on vacation, but he's a no-show. When everybody starts trying to figure out where Joe is, something attacks the city of Toronto!
Our animation is essentially Cloverfield, but each individual scene is a different characters perspective of whats happening, and the final scene reveals whats going on.
The original credits and the second scene (Titled "OMG ITS CHEERIOS") were done as Stop Motion animation scenes, to make the final product unique in a special way. Unfortunately, Flash eats Quicktime videos with different framerates for breakfast, so I've removed them from here. A full version will be posted somewhere.... sometime..... probably on Rapidshare, and I will then post a link on my Personal Newgrounds page (games-and-gigs.newground s.com) with a download link for the full version.
I also plan to redo most of the video without Movieclips and edit all of the scenes together in Final Cut..... thats next years plan though, so don't expect to see it for awhile.
