Lyrics mixed in with some animation. This is my first ever, and its the popular Creep by RadioHead. Definately not my favorite, but it is a pretty nice song. My next is probobly going to be I Stay Away by Alice in Chains.

"I'm a Fan of the song"

date: June 17, 2008

Right off the bat you get 5 cause I love the song and enjoy hearing it then you get a little extra because it is the Full Recording and not the Radio Edited version which is what gets used most often.

When you did "soul" I was wondering how you were going to represent it and you did well I even smiled cause I had to admit Yeah that works.

The Writing at times is Smushed as if you were running out of space and for that and only that reason do I give you a 9 because if you had everything proportioned out I would have had NOTHING to complain about.

This is well done so keep it up.

"A great stepping stone"

date: June 17, 2008

I think this is a great start.

You see, when I look at most people's submissions, I see someone trying to do too much at a time, and not doing any of it well. You picked something simple, and did it well. Overall, rather than vote five on doing everything but poorly, I will always vote five for someone who picks something within their limitations, and tries to grow with it.

I admire that you have a great sense in transition. Every single one of those words was individually drawn, I can tell. Little nuances like bigger letters, changes in colors, and even simple symbols bring greater meaning to the song. I don't just listen to the words now, because I can see the tonality in the words placed before me. Whether that was intentional or not, it's a powerful effect, particularly when using a song like Creep, which is a very moving song.

If I were to see more, I would personally like to see more of a transition to animation. Nothing crazy. For example, if you were to redo this submission, you could make scenes that would be appropriate for each section of the song. If you interpreted the guy singing as being someone who sits on a park bench and looks at a pretty girl, you could totally draw him looking sad and depressed as she walks by with rain falling on him. You don't even have to do lip synching at that point either. With some camera zooming and some fading, it does wonders.

I can tell that you'll get a lot better, and quick. I really enjoyed this, because you picked a great song and went with it. Please keep making more.

"Simple but very endearing"

Like others have said, the art was cute and certainly made me smile. The transition from verse to chorus and back to verse really had me rolling.
Nothing special, but I wasn't expecting anything crazy anyhow.

"surprised me"

date: June 17, 2008

not gonna lie, i was expecting to think this was shit when i first opened it, but i ended up liking it. like other people have said, its simple, but it was well synched and i liked the little drawings you had that replaced certain words. i'm not really sure specifically what made me like it (other than those two things) but i found myself somewhat mesmerized by the flow on white words on blue, and the change to black at those key parts of the song. if you do something like this again, i would try to add more variation in the way the words appeared and left the screen. maybe try to have all of it convey the tone at that point in the song the way you did with some parts. i dunno, i'm rambling.... lol
