A rant about how the joy of eating, sometimes isn't so joyful.
Oh, its so true
I have actually experienced most of your rants. I know first hand since I genuinely like to choose something new each time I go to a restaurant that I usually have to make the waitress or waiter hold off for a few minutes. They then don't return until they feel like it. Another thing that bugs me is when you are thinking of having a desert they just hand you the check while your mouth is full and run off. Most often they never run by again. Another thing that bothers me is when they constantly fill my glass when I haven't finished my drink or forget that most of us use lemon to kill the chlorine in our water so we only get one lemon.
Nice piece that hits it right on the spot. I am sure you could rant for hours about all the horrible things that can happen which I hear is even worse in communist and socialist countries where even bad work is paid the same.
You probably are just eating at the wrong restaurant. Is this the same one in the first restaurant rant? I mean, none of this crap happens in my restaurants that i go to. You should probably just try a new restaurant.
I can relate to some of that indeed...
Service being too friendly, and service being too rude. The sweet spot must be a tough nut to crack for someone in that line of work, so at the same time I sympathize with their ordeal.
I can't say I can "belittle" their career choice as Foamy put it, because people have their life struggles and end up with such jobs to get by for a while until they can hopefully figure out their next move.
Good flash, brings up good points, but also a bit too brutal imho. Overall a decent launchpad for further conversation on the matter between peers as they wait for their meal.
omg the best!
Germaine is reading about Bjs lol, keep the masterpieces coming XD
I like it, almost nudged into a 9, but not quite. Its good though, real good, funny too.
