EDIT: I apologize, this fuckers frame rate is supposed to be running at 16 FPS, I dont know why its running and what seems like 12 FPS, my master copy got messed up somehow and I cant fix the issue. Once again I apologize, this is really disappointed to watch in this format.

Way back when in 1993 MK2 hit the arcades. As a die hard fan I always wondered why only one character in the game had 3 fatalities.

Being a little OCD I made up my own 3rd fatalities for the characters, and now after all this time finally got around to animating them. Being that Shang Tsung was the only character to have 3 fatalities in the game, hes the only character who doesnt have one in this 94 second animation.

The animation here uses no MK sprites, I know folks love their MK flashes with MK sprites, but I didnt want to follow the crowd.

Bosses and secret characters each have one fatality, and I opted to create fatalities around the existing games sprite library. Just my OCD trying to create somethign that at the very least could seem authentic to the game I suppose.

Each fatality's name is listed at the bottom of the screen, there are 16 total and this is in 'supreme demonstration' format. its only 94 seconds so time flies fast. For the 'insane detail crowd', I didnt opt to animate every characters win pose, they just do their fatality, stop in place, and move onto the next fatality. That animation didnt seem neccesary, and would have just added another 6 seconds of animation that we all could live without.

Pretty damn good...

Only thing is... why do the giblets sound like bricks being dropped on the floor? O.o

Actually that is the body parts SFX they used in the game way back when. If you check out the MK2 arcade clips on youtube that'll confirm it. It sounds a little odd, but you do get used to it.

Pretty good

Ah, MK2, that takes me back...

What's interesting about this animation is that all the fatalities use pre-existing animations. I bet they would have been very simple to program into the actual game.

I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing. On the one hand, it'd be neat to have more fatalities for each character. On the other hand, you could have been a *little* more creative than just "Character does their special move, opponent explodes".

Still, it was a neat animation, good job. ;)

noob saibot was the best

Oh hell yeah. I love your graphics you got them pretty damn close to the original. Some of the fatalities were not that great though. TAKE MORE TIME!!!!!!!

it was great

i loved the fatalities but some werent all that great (jade) but other than that it was great you have great creativity that rivals my own great job $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

was running a little low on ideas by then, mulled over doing a'brutality' for Jade, but thought that just wouldnt fit in. So was either roundhouse kick to the head, causing it to explode, or and elbow bash to the head severing it.

I liked the elbow bash to the head myself so I chose that.

excellent

Very nicely made. I really likes double pound, come get some, brain freeze and upper cut. One thing you did miss out on is the name of each character in there some where would have been nice. It would really have helped your score
